Her dream to become an idol was born during middle school, influenced by the second generation of K-pop.

Pre-debut[]

In 2013, after several auditions, Yoori managed to enter as a trainee at JYP Entertainment, one of the "Big 3" of K-pop. Here she receives an intensive training in vocal, dance and acting, distinguishing himself for her natural stage presence and expressive capacity. However, after two years without concrete debut prospects, she decided to leave the company in 2015, a difficult but necessary choice to find her artistic voice again.

Despite the financial difficulties, she keeps on working part-time while continuing to study acting and improve her portfolio. She is selected for small parts in low budget web series, "Our Summer Diary" secondary interpretation but appreciated for its emotional naturalness, "Midnight App" a teen-thriller in which she acts as a support student, attracting the attention of some small independent directors, "A Little More Time" sentimental drama in which she gets a minor but significant role for his transition to a more mature image.

Despite the poor visibility, Yoori does not give up. This decade of waiting forges her deeply, making her a more conscious, tenacious and humble artist.

In 2025, at the age of 29, when many would consider a possible idol career over, Yoori takes the opportunity of an internal audition at Neptune Entertainment, a subsidiary of Lunaris. Here she strikes the recruiters with her scenic elegance, vocal maturity and a determination out of the ordinary.
