Xu Yaning (Chinese: 许呀宁, Korean: 야닝) is a Chinese singer, songwriter, model under TIANZHI Music Entertainment. She is a member of the project girl group YCXM and a former member of the girl groups BJSN and BASKET GIRLS 9.
History[]
2018-2022:[]
Yaning debuted as a member of the girl group BJSN in August 16, 2018.
On Mid 2019 PERSONA Entertainment announced that Yaning would be participating on the Chinese Survival Show UNIVERSE9 (China) to make her debut in the Chinese Industry under a Chinese Entertainment Company.
She ended up 1st in the competition taking the center position for the group. The group rose in popularity quick and fans tried to make the members of BASKET GIRLS 9 to continue promoting as a group.
KROMS China announced that BASKET GIRLS 9 would be extending it's contract as a Group. Since All the Companies the members are signed in have agreed on extending the contract for more Future Promotions.
On May 27, 2020 PERSONA Entertainment announced the departure of member Yaning from the Group and The Company to pursue her Career in China. The group will be currently Inactive on whether if they decide to continue, or disband.
On July 11, 2021 TIANZHI Music Entertainment announced that Xu Yaning would be making her solo debut on August 19, 2021 with her first EP "Aqua".
On November 6, 2022, TIANZHI Music Entertainment announced that Xu Yaning would be releasing another EP, Atlantis. The EP would be released on December 14, 2022.
2024-Present:[]
The major success of the single "Passive-Aggressive"from the album led to xia records and Diverse Co. & Yi Entertainment to promote the members as a unit and release songs as a 4 membered girl group. They revealed on June 1, 2024, that the four girls would becoming a unit project girl group that would be continuing releasing songs together. They're scheduled to release a new single on October of 2024.
On March 29, 2025, KROMS Beijing Studio announced that BASKET GIRLS 9 promotions would be coming to an end with the members going their separate ways, Yaning expressed herself through Weibo and Instagram that she was thankful to be part of BASKET GIRLS 9 and that she hopes that BASKET GIRLS 9 would reunite sometime in the future once again.
