Wild Girls is a seven-member girl group under Wild Melody Entertainment. They officially debuted on February 19th, 2015 with the EP Wild.

2015: Debut, Wild Era[]
In January 2015, Wild Melody Entertainment announced that they would be debuting a new girl group under the name Wild Girls. Throughout the month, the members were revealed. Each member received a surprising amount of hype, depsite Wild Melody Entertainment being a new company. Members Kyulmin, Asuta, and Minhae were praised for their visuals, to the point where the comments on their reveals overshadowed the other members. Fans of the new group started to complain about favouritism towards the three girls just from this, and acted as if the company was ignoring the other members. The discussion found its way into other fandoms, but instead of causing drama, it just created more hype for the group, as people were excited to see if the girls were really worth the hype.
Right from their debut, Wild Girls showed that they wanted to stand out. Unlike the other girl groups debuting around them, Wild Girls went for a strong, girl crush concept. Their rap-focused members were more than idol rappers, which caught the attention of casual listeners. Although their rough sound was not a hit with the general public at the time, the group's debut found its place among international fans. Their debut album, Wild, sold over 20,000 copies.
Concept[]
Wild Girls has a powerful, girl-crush concept. Wild Melody Entertainment wanted to showcase the members's individuality through this concept, allowing them to promote a message of self-confidence. Their fierce concept gained the group a lot of attention from international fans. To perform this concept better, Wild Girls is more of a rap-based group than a vocal-based group. Their music style is mainly EDM-based and hip hop influenced.
