Today's Girl (Korean: 금일소녀; also known by their Hanja: 今日少女) is a girl group under LoveRail Entertainment. It is LoveRail Entertainment's second original group to debut under the company, joining CHRYSTALLIZE as their sister group. Their debut album is "Today = Now".
On June 10, 2025, all the 9 members were revealed in the brand film "Today's Together".[1] The members consists of Ayla, Cherry, Seohyun, Nina, Cara, Eunju, Garam, Elvira & Aini. On June 19, 2025, they released their own communication app to chat with the group, TodayPhone. On June 20, 2025, the group finally made their debut, and one hour later held their debut showcase (Today's Girl Debut Showcase).
History[]
February 30, 2025-June 3, 2025: Pre-debut[]
On February 30, 2025, Imai Cherry, former Generation 2 member of DKDK was seen entering LoveRail Entertainment's building. She had previously been on hiatus for 4 years, later revealed to be due to her being blacklisted from the industry after an unsuccessful lawsuit with YW Entertainment, DKDK's former company.
A few days later, she announced that YW Entertainment's blacklist had been ruled as invalid in court after time had passed, and that she was free to join the idol industry again. She also announced she was a trainee under LoveRail Entertainment.
Due to Cherry joining LoveRail Entertainment, people started investigating LoveRail Entertainment's trademarks and copyrights. It was then found out the name "Today's Girl" had been trademarked by the company, alongside stage names. These are the stage names and who they seem to be connected to out of LoveRail Entertainment's current trainees: Ayla (Ayla Iseul Karamanuk), Cherry (Imai Cherry), Seohyun (Lee Seohyun), Nina (Manāw Kaewsawang), Cara (Jeong Chaerin), Eunju (Kim Eunju), Garam (Lim Garam), Elvira (Elvira Jiarui Ilyinichna Kovalyova) & Aini (Wang Aizhi).
All the attention towards other groups in LoveRail Entertainment, and now also this new group, started controversy for MAEUM (DKDK's fanbase) that had waited almost a year for a new comeback. It is believed the protests from these fans had delayed Today's Girl's reveal. In the end, the protesting was so strong that it ended in an official conference about the group, hosted by LoveRail Entertainment's CEO, KATY.
June 7, 2025-present: Debut[]
After the controversy, Today's Girl was finally revealed as a group on June 7, 2025, with the reveal of their logo. On June 10, 2025, all the 9 members of Today's Girl were revealed in the brand film "Today's Together". These were the same members as rumoured previously. The next day, the group concept photo for their debut mini-album "Today = Now" was released. On June 12, 2025, individual concept photos for Today = Now was released. On June 13, 2025, the concept film "Today = Now" was released. Two days later, the Tracklist Reveal poster was released, followed up the next day by an Album Preview of all the 12 versions the album comes in. On June 17, 2025, the highlight medley was released, and on June 18, 2025, the M/V teaser also released.
Following their up-coming debut, on June 19th, 2025, they released the app "TodayPhone" to promote their debut the day before. And as promised, on June 20th, 2025, the group debuted with the title track "BIM BAM BUM", the album being available for order in stores and online and the album released to all streaming services. An hour later, they had their debut showcase, which can be seen here: Today's Girl Debut Showcase.
On June 30, 2025, Today's Girl earned their first win on the music show Beat Bop. Their win speech's script can be read here:

MC: This week's winner is... Today's Girl's 'BIM BAM BUM', congratulations!
The members of Today's Girl stared at each other in complete shock, with CHERRY covering her mouth, GARAM fanning her face and SEOHYUN comedically just staring eyes wide. ELVIRA, EUNJU, AINI & CARA looked almost as if they expected it, while NINA and AYLA started immediately crying. The trophy was handed to CHERRY, but she proceeded to hand it over to the completely frozen SEOHYUN in the middle. SEOHYUN looked confused at CHERRY before snapping out of her trance and slowly speaking up, in disbelief they had won.
SEOHYUN: I– uh... Wow... I'm so confused. One thing I'm not confused about: we want to thank TICKLEs. I–...
SEOHYUN passes the microphone to NINA quickly as she starts tearing up, wiping away a tear from her eyes. The rest of them all had also started crying at this point. While crying, NINA still keeps her energetic energy up as she speaks into the microphone, voice breaking from crying while she spoke.
NINA: Our first win, everyone! Thank you so much, we never expected this! We've trained so hard for this debut, even through delays and everything... And now we're here thanks to you guys!
NINA shot a wink and a wave to the camera. EUNJU blew a kiss to the camera as it focused on her suddenly, her usual smile on her face. The whole group gets together into one ring, microphone in the middle as they shouted out their thanks to the crowd.
TODAY'S GIRL: Thank you, Beat Bop, and thank you TICKLEs!
They adjusted themselves, excited smiles and tears still streaming down their faces as they made themselves ready for their encore, the opening of BIM BAM BUM already playing in the background.
