Tiago (티아고), also known as Tiago Yang (티아고 양), is a Chinese-Panamanian trainee under LSG Entertainment. He is a member of the project boy group HALCYON, and a member of the pre-debut boy group YOUNGSTAZ.
Early life[]
Santiago Yang Yao was born on February 12, 2006 in David, Chiriquí, Panama to parents of Han Chinese descent. His father is world renown baseball player Francisco "Frankie" Yang, best known for playing in the New York Yankees. He has 2 sisters, born in 2002 and 2011 respectively.
Career[]
2024-present: LSG Rookies, MAGNET RISE[]
Yang was scouted by LSG and became a trainee in March 2024, and was added to the LSG Rookies lineup in December of that year.
In February 2025, Yang, along with labelmates Louis Tchéou and Nico de Jager, was announced as a contestant on survival show MAGNET RISE. The show is set to air on March 7, 2025.
All 6 YOUNGSTAZ members featured on The Girl's track "The Mixtape", released on April 4, 2025. This featured as an introduction to the group, with Tiago being one of the members, as their identities and group name had previously remained a mystery.
On May 16, 2026, in the finale of MAGNET RISE, Yang was announced to be in second place with 950,000 votes. Meaning he would be debuting in the new 9-member boy group HALCYON along with Lai Bihan, Paek Beomjun, Liu Taeshin, Seonghwa, Choi Haneul, Park Gavin, Sim Jookyung, Mizukami Teruya.
Personality[]
A quiet man, Yang has always been known for not being one to speak much. Starting from a young age, he's always had a mysterious vibe, often not sharing much about himself with others. Some noticed he seems more comfortable around those he's spent lots of time with, but he's never confirmed, nor shown explicit signs of that.
When he does speak, he's quite nice and has a soft, but deep voice. Those around him are pleasantly surprised to hear his voice occasionally. He may not speak much, but that does not negate his charming smile, perfect visuals, and polite manners; resulting in him having quite a few admirers.
Yang is desired by many, both as a friend, and more. However, despite the fact, he seems unfazed by any attempts to charm him. He of course does not shame those who attempt to light any sparks with him, but rather pays them no mind. Due to this, many also despise him, claiming he's cold. However, these critiques once again leave him unfazed.
