—The Muses

The Muses (더뮤지스) is a 7-member girl group under Olympic Records. As nine, they debuted on March 17, 2016 with the EP CHAPTER ONE: PETRICHOR.

2025: LOVE BOMB, Departure of Dalyn and Tegan[]

On January 19, it was announced that The Muses would be making their comeback with the mini-album LOVE BOMB on February 7. Four days later, on January 23, news outlets reported that not all members of The Muses were intent on re-signing their contracts and described the comeback as being a 'make or break' scenario for the group's original line-up. Olympic Records declined to comment on the rumours, only confirming that The Muses' contracts were up for renewal that year. The mini-album, headed by lead single "Love Bomb", performed well on both physical and digital charts; peaking at #2 and #1 on the respective Circle Charts. Although initial streaming numbers allowed critics to claim that the group's "streaming domination" days were over, the longevity of the single - charting well into June of the same year - indicated favourable growth.

On April 27, media outlets reported that seven members had re-signed with Olympic Records and that two would be departing from the group. That same day, members Dalyn and Tegan reposted a humorous edit of the two of them being grey scaled and removed from a group line-up, indicating their departures from the group.

On April 28, Olympic Records confirmed the departures of Dalyn and Tegan and the intention for The Muses to continue to promote as seven. In the announcement, the company insisted that the two would be welcomed back for any future comeback should the opportunity arise. The same day, Tegan posted a letter to her Instagram confirming that she had chosen to leave The Muses. In the letter, she revealed that she had signed with Olympic-subsidiary The Pink Label primarily as an actress, stating that she needed a break from the idol lifestyle and remaining as a member of The Muses in hiatus wouldn't give her the mental break she needed. In an Instagram live on May 3, Tegan confirmed she had chosen an Olympic Records subsidiary specifically for the ease of promoting with The Muses again if she so chose to in the future.

On May 1, Dalyn posted a letter to her Instagram that revealed she intended to leave the entertainment industry as a whole from the performer aspect. Pursuing modelling, she also revealed that she intended to marry her non-celebrity CEO boyfriend of five years.
