Tarantachok Nirankul (Thai: ธารัณโชค นิรันดร์กุล; born July 7, 1995), better known as Taran, is a Thai singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer, widely recognised as one of the most influential foreign-born idols in South Korea and often referred to in media as "Thailand’s Pride". He first rose to prominence as a member of the boy band khaos, the best-selling boy band of all time. Taran is known for his dynamic stage presence, multilingual lyricism, and creative contributions to songwriting and choreography, playing a central role in shaping his group's identity.
Born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, Taran began his career in the underground rap scene before moving to Seoul at the age of 14 to pursue formal training in performance and production. Both his Southeast Asian and Western music influences, combined with his trilingual abilities, allowed him to stand out within the highly competitive entertainment industry. As part of khaos, he quickly gained recognition for his distinct vocal tone and genre-spanning artistry.
Taran has been involved in numerous solo projects, contributing to original soundtracks, brand campaigns, and own releases.
