TRAPPIST (Korean: 트라피스트; Japanese: トラフィスト) is an 8-members South Korean boy group under Prime Labels. They made their debut on April 24, 2024, with their first single album "Observation".
History[]
Pre-Debut:[]
On February 1, 2023, Prime Labels revealed their plans for 2023-2024 which included two new acts of debut, a new girl group on 2023 and their first boy group to debut on 2024.[1]
On May 1, 2023, it was revealed that Prime Labels has applied to register for trademark rights for the name TRAPPIST, which is currently rumored to be the upcoming boy-group name.[2]
Debut:[]
On January 1, 2024, Prime Label opened the official SNS accounts for their first boy group TRAPPIST. The agency revealed that the group would feature 8 of their best male trainees that have been training as a group for 1 year and are ready to debut.
On January 11, 2024, Prime Labels revealed the first member Dini whom previously was a member of EXTRACT. Yukzin was revealed on January 12, Yumin was revealed on January 13, Kyuhan on January 14, Yukio on January 18, Sungjin on January 19, Dylan on January 20 and the last member, Tobin on January 21.
On April 1, 2024, Prime Labels revealed that TRAPPIST will make their debut on April 24, 2024, with their first single album "Observation".
2024-Present:[]
On September 30, 2024, Prime Labels announced that TRAPPIST would be making their first comeback with their first mini album Inbetween. That same day the group held a special live where they revealed their fandom name to be E1, which stands for Everyone, expressing their thankfulness to each and every fan who has supported the boys so far and to those who come in the future.
On May 22, 2025, Prime Labels announced that TRAPPIST would be making a comeback with their second mini album Trigger.
