As our wiki has had an increased amount of collaborative survival shows, it has been decided that the amount of collaborative survival shows will be limited to eight per year. This way, there will be no overlap of shows, and users can have trainees available to send.
Collaborative survival shows are shows where the user asks other users for trainees to use.
- Users cannot have more than one collaborative survival show per year. This way, other users can participate in the limited amount of spots.
- Users must provide their survival show spot application two seasons before their desired slot/one season before their trainee applications open.
- Users must fit the survival show criteria detailed in the Criteria for Survival Shows below.
- A review council will review the applications and will let people know exactly one season before their slot.
- Trainee application dates must be made clear and a reason must be given for the application date to take place before the season before the slot (ex: WARRIORS having the applications open from May-August despite being a winter show due to Awaken wanting to write it out fully).
- Complaints or questions should be given to Awakenthepower through DM on Discord or message wall.
- An application can be sent for multiple seasons if it does not get chosen.
There are four seasons per year, with one boy group show and one girl group show per season. As most survival shows are twelve episodes long, the seasons are 12 weeks long. A show can start any time in the first month and a half of a season. Seasons are designed so that ideally, for example, a trainee in a summer show who is eliminated can next go on a winter show, as the fall show applications would take place during the summer season. Of course, trainees eliminated early can still apply for the next season's show, as applications might have not closed. The seasons:
- Spring: March/April/May
- Summer: June/July/August
- Fall: September/October/November
- Winter: December/January/February
Send your applications by DM on Discord or via message wall to Awakenthepower. The application form has five parts:
- Basic Information:
- Required: Which season are you applying for? Which gender are the trainees?
- Concept:
- Required: What is your show about? How long is the contract? Optional: How many members in the debut group? What makes your survival show special?
- Format:
- Required: How will you be presenting the episodes? How many episodes will the show have? Optional: What are you doing for the finale? What are you doing for voting?
- Applications Timeline:
- Required: When do your applications open? When do your applications close? Optional: Why do you need more/a different time for the application than normal?
- Proof of Credibility:
- Required: How do you show credibility on the wiki? Optional: How do you show credibility with your survival shows?
Here is an example of an application:
WARRIORS Application
Basic Information: I am applying for the 2022 Winter season. WARRIORS is a girl group show.
Concept: WARRIORS is a girl group survival show based on FIGHTERS' Five Pillars of Being an Idol. Each of the show's five main rounds will focus on a different pillar, and the twenty trainees will battle for the five spots in the debut group. There will be eliminations starting after the second main round. The debut group will be a permanent contract.
Format: 12 episodes, written out and summaries, live show type finale, interest based voting that lets me know which trainees are popular, pr videos in september
Applications Timeline: Applications close on July 31st, but the date might be pushed back due to other survival shows. I need the trainees in advance in order to write out the episodes.
Proof Of Credibility: I may be the type of person to have a lot of groups that aren't quite fleshed out yet, but that doesn't mean I'm not credible. I have run two successful survival shows before, and they have both been distributed so that the finale is in a timely manner. WARRIORS will be written out in advance to avoid any delay in episode posting. Although ix-cite and IXUS may not be the best show of group maintenance, I do communicate and collaborate with their trainees' owners to make the comebacks and I have them in my plans to flesh out. The WARRIORS debut group will be heavily focused on as I have been planning them since Idolix Season 2.

The applications will be reviewed by a reviewing council of admins and mods (excluding the applying user if they are a part of the council). The council will go through each application and discuss which show will be best for the wiki. The applications will be discussed down to two applications. The winning application will be decided through a vote. The admins and mods on the council will discuss with no bias or favouritism towards the users. All users have a fair chance if they fit the criteria.
For a survival show to be considered for the schedule, it needs to follow these criteria:
- The concept, format, or plot of the survival show must be thought-out and planned. This includes the user knowing what type of voting system they are going to use.
- The user is reliable in terms of following through with projects. If a user has a history of ditching survival shows halfway, they will need to prove that they can commit to a project before being considered.
- The user has the time commitment to doing the show and will do it in a timely manner. Survival shows are time consuming and take a lot of motivation. The user must understand that they will be responsible for making sure that they have enough time to do the survival show. The survival show must also have its finale in a timely manner.
- The survival show brings something new to the table, whether it's something new for the wiki or something new compared to other survival shows the user has made.
- Survival show episodes, summaries, or information must be made available to the other users. Users cannot just make the show and suddenly announce the winning trainees without anything in between.
- The survival shows will be open to the wiki users and the discord users. People from both groups can send trainees.
- The user will make an application for the trainees that is more than just asking for the trainee's name and age.
- Survival show groups will not be abandoned by the user. If a survival show group is inactive/without new content (without valid reason) for an unacceptable amount of time, the user will lose credibility.
An Important Note
The staff team can decide to not give out a slot if they feel that none of the applying users are credible enough or will be able to follow through on their show. We want to try to fill every slot, but we want to also make sure that the shows will be of enough quality and that we can count on the users who make the shows. I understand if it seems unfair if you apply and nobody gets the slot, but as the staff team, we need to be able to have this option.
