Start a Fire is the debut single album of Queen of Hearts. It was released on May 1, 2025. Red Velvet Throne promotions started in June.
The Album[]
Concept and Meaning[]
The entire "Start a Fire" project represents the rebirth of a raw and rebellious female force. It is not a mere debut, but a declaration of war against the objectification, control, expectations that societies, media and even the entertainment industry impose on women.
Start a Fire[]
Rebellion against the control of others, protection of one’s own dignity and autonomy. It tells a woman who can no longer stand to be treated like a doll, warning anyone not to provoke her ("Don’t start a fire") because this time "will burn everything" if necessary ("burn burn baby burn").
Red Velvet Throne[]
The bitter pleasure of power. Describes the throne as a bittersweet conquest - it is the symbol of success, but also of loneliness and pressure. More poetic lyrics, full of visual metaphors.
Live Performances[]
Intro[]
The lights go out completely. You can only hear the beating of a heart, slow and threatening. A voice-over whispers: "You thought you could control us. You thought wrong." A sound explosion accompanies the lighting of flashing red lights, such as alarm sirens. The girls appear slowly from the smoke, in a strong and proud pose.
Coreography[]
Aggressive and decisive movements, very "stomp-based". Great use of hand movements that indicate "stop", "come here", "away from me". Slow parts during the bridge, with sensual movements of the hips and intense looks, followed by bursts of energy in the chorus.
Visuals and Background[]
LED screens show flames that slowly turn into crowns that shatter. In the final part of the song, the screens flash red and black, like a fire that devours everything.
Styling on Stage[]
Military style dark & sexy: Cropped leather jackets nere o rosse, High-waisted shorts and knee boots. Choker at the neck and gloves of combat without fingers. Make-up: heavy smokey eyes, red lips or matte nude. Hairs: left loose and wavy, or gathered in aggressive high tails.
Intro[]
The scene lights up with a soft velvety red, as if it were an ancient ballroom. Ambient music: sounds of falling chains, distant whispers, a sensual beat of a drum. The girls sit on thrones scattered on stage, each in a regal but melancholic pose.
Coreography[]
Much slower and more theatrical than "Start a Fire". Fluid movements, with hand and arm gestures very emphasized. Intensive eye contact with the public. Some sections are almost mimicked: like slaves who free themselves from invisible chains.
Visuals and Background[]
The background becomes a velvet crimson mist, with visual effects of crowns, thrones, black roses falling in slow-motion. During the chorus, you see red veils moving in the air as if the stage was immersed in the wind of a decadent dream.
Styling on Stage[]
Clothes of the decadent queen: Black or burgundy corsets with asymmetrical lace or velvet skirts. Long gloves, showy necklaces, belts of golden chains. High heels decorated with studs or stones. Make-up: golden eyes and dramatic liner, burgundy or dark purple lips. Hairs: partially collected with gold accessories or broken crown.Traklisting[]
