Soonja (클로이) is a South Korean singer under WH Pop. She is a member of the girl group SECRETS, a former member of the girl group HATUN, the sub unit HATUN B and female duo JOUR.
Career[]
2019: Debuts with HATUN and HATUN B[]
On 2019, Pledis announced Soonja as a member of HATUN, which debuted on March 30, 2019 with the mini album Poisonous and the title track, "Black Widow". On August 30, Soonja debuted as a member of HATUN's first sub-unit, HATUN B, with their first digital single "Bim Bam Bum".
On September 2019 it was announced that Soonja has signed with Sublime Artist Agency and that she would be making her film debut under the name Soola.
2020: Acting Debut, Debut with JOUR and Summer Guys[]
On January 21, 2020, Soonja was announced to star in the web drama XX. The drama's first episode aired on January 24 and ran for 10 episodes.
On July 2, 2020, Soonja along with soloist Emica formed the girl duo JOUR under Pledis Entertainment. The duo covered six popular songs before releasing their debut digital single titled "Pick Me Up" on August 27, 2020
On December 30, 2020, Soonja was announced to be starring in another web drama, Summer Guys, alongside Lee Jung Shin, Kang Mina, Viini, Im Nayoung, and Lee Jung Sic. It premiered on AbemaTV on March 30, 2021 with new episodes being released every Tuesday and Wednesday.
2021: Solo Debut, Imitation, departure from HATUN and Pledis Entertainment, debut with SECRETS and Bulletproof[]
On April 2, 2021, Star News reported that she would be releasing her solo digital single on April 14, which was later confirmed by Pledis. On April 14, Soonja made her solo debut with her first digital single "Designer". Soonja made a soundtrack appearance on Imitation with "Show Me (Imitation X TEAPARTY)" (이미테이션 X 티파티), released on May 21, 2021.
On June 17, 2021, Pledis Entertainment announced Soonja would be taking a break from group activities due to health concerns. On July 12, her departure from the group was announced and was said to be caused by the aforementioned health problems as well as the company mistreatment. She later announced that she has signed with WH Pop and still be a member of JOUR.
On August 19, she was revealed as the first member of SECRETS. The group officially debuted on September 30 with their first digital single "Nun Nu Nan Na".
On December 11, she teased her single album titled Bulletproof. On December 14, Soonja confirmed she would be making a comeback with her first single album at near the end of the month. Bulletproof will be released on December 28 with "Bulletproof" serving as the album's title track.

Health[]
On November 11, 2020, Pledis Entertainment shared that Soonja and Nicole had been diagnosed with COVID-19. As a result, all remaining HATUN members and their staff would go on voluntary self-isolation for two weeks. The group had recently recorded an episode of Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook with a few other artists, but they all tested negative.
On December 3, 2020, Pledis Entertainment that both Soonja and Nicole were out of isolation and tested negative on a final COVID-19 test. Thus, they were cleared to return to group promotions.
