Jin Sook-hee was born in 1986 in the lively city of Busan, known for its vibrant port and culture. As a child, Sook-hee shows an intense passion for music, spending hours singing and listening to different genres of music, from traditional Korean music to international pop. Her family, recognizing her natural talent, encourages her to cultivate this passion, allowing her to start a path of vocal and artistic training very early.
During her middle and high school years, Jin Sook-hee participated in numerous singing competitions and local performances, distinguishing herself for her powerful voice and performance skills. These early successes motivated her to seriously pursue the dream of becoming a professional singer, leading her to move to Seoul after high school to enter an intensive artistic training program.
Career[]
2004-2009: Venus[]
In 2004, after years of hard training, Sook-hee debuts under the pseudonym Sooky with the female group VENUS, produced by FairyDream Music. VENUS quickly stands out for the energy of its performances and a fresh pop sound, gaining a loyal fan base. Sooky contributes not only as lead singer, but also in the choreography and song arrangements.
However, in 2009, after five years of activity and due to the expiration of contracts with FairyDream Music, the group disbands. The next period is a time of great reflection for Sooky, who considers continuing as a soloist or exploring other areas of the music industry.
2010-2013: Solo career, Retirement[]
In 2010, Sooky signed with the Fish Company and debuted as a soloist with the mini-album "Echoes of You", a project that highlights a new artistic maturity and a more intimate sensitivity than the years of the group. Her music is characterized by enveloping melodies and emotional lyrics, which allow her to conquer a wider and more diverse audience.
In 2013 she released a second mini-album, "Midnight Bloom", confirming his talent and vocal versatility. However, shortly after, she decided to leave Fish Company to devote himself to teaching, becoming a vocal coach. Her pedagogical approach, based on technique and empathy, makes her one of the most sought-after coaches in Korea.
2014-2019: Industry career[]
From 2014 to 2015 she worked at Lyra Entertainment as a vocal trainer, before joining NovaStar Entertainment in 2016 as a talent scout and Head of the Artists Department. Thanks to her insights and practical experience, she was quickly promoted to Artist Development Manager, contributing to the debut and growth of numerous emerging artists and groups.
2020-present: Neptune Entertainment[]
In 2019 she leaves NovaStar to look for new challenges, and in 2020 is contacted by Seo Yoon-hee to open and manage the new subsidiary Neptune Entertainment, part of the Lunaris group. This opportunity represents a turning point for Sooky, who thus assumes a prominent managerial role, combining her artistic and managerial skills.
In 2025, after years of hard work behind the scenes, Sooky returns as a soloist with the single "A Poem Titled You", which remains for three consecutive weeks in the top 10 of the Be.liv chart, marking a great personal and artistic success. In the same year, thanks to the encouragement and support of Seo Yoon-hee, he organizes the meeting of the VENUS group, which however, due to legal questions about the name, is renamed Neon Axys. Among the eight original components, three choose not to return; the five remaining ones are relaunched with the single "INITIATE: CODE 000", marking a new chapter in their history.

In 2012, Jin Sook-hee met the music producer Park Ji-hwan, with whom she established a deep relationship based on a common passion for music and mutual support. The couple married in 2015 and have two children, born in 2017 and 2020 respectively. The family is a fundamental pillar for Sook-hee, source of balance and inspiration in an always challenging career.
Public Image[]
Jin Sook-hee is an example of versatile talent and determination. From young idol to soloist, from vocal coach to manager, he has been able to reinvent himself several times, always maintaining a strong passion for music and the growth of other artists. Her collaboration with Seo Yoon-hee and Lunaris Entertainment projects her into a future where she will continue to be a reference point for both the Korean music scene and new talents who will choose to rely on her experience and guidance.
Relationships[]
- Park Byul-ha: Long-time vocal coach, Park Byul-ha has been working with Seo Yoon-hee since 2010 and indirectly with Sook-hee, especially through the BlueWave and Neptune subsidiaries. Their relationship is of deep professional esteem and friendship, with frequent exchanges of ideas and collaboration in the vocal training of artists.
- Lee Min-yeol: Former CEO of MY:Dream Entertainment, now part of Lunaris, Min-yeol has gone through a difficult period due to the merger, which resulted in the loss of many artists. However, this event gave Min-yeol the chance to debut as a solo artist, challenging age-related expectations. Jin Sook-hee maintains a collaborative relationship with her, sharing the common goal of supporting artists at every stage of their careers.
- Seo Yoon-hee: Between Seo Yoon-hee and Jin Sook-hee there is a rare connection. Two visionary minds, deeply reflective, but with different approaches: Yoon-hee lives in emotions, intuition and silent harmony; Sook-hee is a lucid, pragmatic strategist, with a mentality oriented towards efficiency and excellence. When Yoon-hee contacted her in 2020 to entrust her with the leadership of Neptune Entertainment, it was not a random choice: the estimate arose from afar, since Yoon-hee observed Sooky’s career at the time of her idol group - an elegant, intelligent, never banal career. Yoon-hee has always known that under the image of "ice queen" Sook-hee was a born leader, able to give structure to a vision. On a personal level, their relationship is profound but not expressed verbally: they are understood with a glance. Sooky, who rarely accepts collaborations, accepts without hesitation. In Yoon-hee sees the only figure in the industry who does not want to use it, but understand it. In 2025, when Sook-hee returns to the scene as a soloist and even manages to reunite her old band that was disbanded in 2009, it is thanks to the safe and respectful environment built by Yoon-hee. This mutual trust also has a huge impact on the image of Neptune: it is a demonstration of silent strength and mutual respect between two women who have never needed to perform to be influential.
- Park Ji-hwan: On the sentimental level, Jin Sook-hee’s life is marked by a stable and lasting love. In 2012 he met the music producer Park Ji-hwan, with whom he shared both his passion for music and the most important moments of life. The marriage in 2015 and the birth of two children in 2017 and 2020 represent an inexhaustible source of strength and inspiration for her. His balance between career and family is often cited as an example for many young artists trying to reconcile professional success with private life. This human dimension is also reflected in her relationships with the artists of Neptune, with whom he often establishes an almost family connection, going beyond simple professional management. Her leadership style is characterized by empathy, patience and dedication, qualities that make her not only a manager but a true mentor to many.
