Bae Sohyeon (배소현; born Bae Soyeong) was a South Korean idol under DOLLY Entertainment and actress.
She made her idol debut with LOVEHOLIC on February 4, 1999 and left the group on July 7, 2002 because she wanted to pursue a career in acting instead. She debuted as an actress on October 18, 2002.
In early 2010, Sohyeon went "crickets" as there was no more news about her appearance in public. In 2011, it was believed she left the industry for good and had no intention of returning. As of 2025, there is no other news about her.

Sohyeon was born on February 14, 1980 in Daegu, South Korea. At the age of 14 years old she began to rap and dance, she had already set her intentions of becoming an idol. By the age of 18, she had officially debuted in LOVEHOLIC but it wasn't exactly how she imagined. 19 years old, she had secretly changed her mind and decided to live the life of an actress instead.

Debut with LOVEHOLIC[]
Sohyeon debuted with LOVEHOLIC on February 4, 1999, adapting the stage name "Sohyeon" and later legally changing her name to Bae Sohyeon. Sohyeon was the 3rd most biased member behind Jimin and Bomi.
Position(s)[]
Sohyeon debuted as the Main Rapper and FOTG, she was chosen as the main rapper due to her ability to rap at 10.53 SPS. Her FOTG position was between her or Jimin but ultimately she was chosen in the end.
Leaving LOVEHOLIC[]
Sohyeon officially left LOVEHOLIC on July 7, 2002, expressing she wanted to have a career in acting instead of being an idol. While some LOVELYS believe there is more to this or this may not be the reason she left entirely, this is the official reason she left LOVEHOLIC.

On October 18, 2002, Sohyeon made her acting debut in the Korean drama "SILVER LIES", she portrayed a women named Lim Nasol who had a minor part in the drama.
Last Appearance[]
Sohyeon's last drama was Tears in Heaven (2009) which she portrayed a minor role in as character Kim Yebin. After Tears in Heaven, Sohyeon never appeared in another drama.
