seVenwrld (세븐월드) is an unlimited member boy group under cosmichaus, currently consisting of 26 members. The first unit of five members debuted on July 20, 2023 with their first mini-album SEVENWRLD.
The main group, seVenwrld, serves as the central hub of the various sub-units that operate as individual groups. Each member will have their primary sub-unit - their main promoting entity - as well as other sub-units.
The brainchild of CEO Alistair Kim, the group will have an extensive lore and will be made up of different units. The group's principal unit, 7WRLD VANGUARD, will have its members determined by fans of the group through the Vanguard Assignment Ballots, an election of the members and their popularity.
Concept[]
Name[]
The group's name is directly sourced from their lore. Within the lore, the seVenwrld is a regiment of genetically altered human agents crafted specifically to purify the encroaching darkness. The 'V' is intentionally capitalised to signify the in-lore corporation who creates the agents; V Paradise.
Lore[]
The group's lore is present in all media produced. Only vlogs conducted by the members on their YouTube channel that have been denoted as being non-lore material are the only instances of non-lore items.
The lore of the group takes place in an alternate dimension - nicknamed The Seventh World by fans - where darkness is engulfing the world fast. In a desperate attempt to reverse (or at least prolong) what has been dubbed 'The Promised Eclipse,' corporation V Paradise has mixed their state of the art biology experiments with humans who have either given themselves to the cause or 'donated' by their families. Merging their experiments and the humans together, a new breed of agents have been born - each with their own unique power.
Together, they are the seVenwrld.
History[]
2021-2023: Formation & Pre-Debut[]
Discussions at cosmichaus (then named Kicking Music) regarding the debut of a new boy group first began in late 2021. With the expiration of their first boy group SCOUT's contracts on the horizon, it was identified that a new music venture would be needed in order to continue tapping into the lucrative market that boy groups hit. Initially named VANGUARD, the prospective boy group was first imagined with with seVenwrld members Jamie, Solyeon, Jookyun and four other trainees.
These discussions, however, were cut short in December 2022 upon the dissolution of Kicking Music as a subsidiary of KimCo. Enterprises. With no other choice than to disband its current groups SCOUT and Queen Amethyst, Kicking Music sought a brand renewal as cosmichaus and placed hopes of survival onto its trainees. Though SCOUT had enjoyed enviable popularity, CEO Alistair Kim realised that it was the group's lack of unique, defining identity that resulted in the failure of breaking into the biggest markets. Inspired by popular groups such as AKB48 and NCT, he worked towards crafting what he described as 'the magnus opum of boy groups.'
Prior to their debut in seVenwrld, the first five members of the group (later called 'The Alpha Cohort') had already been active within the entertainment industry:
- Junho participated in Lucky Star Academy! in 2018 under Kicking Music. He had been one of the company's first male trainees, signing shortly after its establishment in 2016. He had been the company's most prolific trainee, marketed as an up-coming soloist and fans of him from Lucky Star Academy! anticipating such a debut.
- Jamie participated in Lucky Star Academy! in 2018 under his Korean name Lee Jae-Min. He was scouted by Kicking Music in 2017 after performing in a local theatre production.
- Kasan was a former member of cosmichaus' previous boy group SCOUT. Upon the disbandment of SCOUT in 2022, he initially signed an employee contract with cosmichaus as an in-house trainer. At the personal request of CEO Alistair Kim, he joined the line-up of seVenwrld as its oldest member.
- Solyeon was a child actor, often appearing in various commercials and small roles in television shows. He signed with Kicking Music in 2019 following the expiration of his acting contract with his previous company and the rise of desire to debut as an idol.
- Jookyun participated in Lucky Star Academy! in 2018 under his real name Park Joo-Won. He was casted by Kicking Music in 2017 through their casting system.
2023: Debut with THE 7TH WRLD, First Vanguard Assignment Ballot[]
On June 3, the first five members - Junho, Kasan, Jamie, Solyeon and Jookyun - were revealed.
The group debuted on July 20 with their first mini-album SEVENWRLD, headed my title track "THE 7TH WRLD."
On September 1, the second cohort of the group - "Beta Cohort" - was teased on various social media platforms. Members Jaedo and Hyu were revealed on September 2; Taeyang on September 3 and Tadashi on September 4.
On September 10, cosmichaus held an online press conference to detail the mechanics that seVenwrld intended to operate and utilise. In particular, details of the Vanguard Assignment Ballot and how its results will impact the releases of the premier unit 7WRLD VANGUARD and the existence of the first fixed unit, 7WRLD INVICTUS were mentioned.
On September 24, it was revealed that 7WRLD VANGUARD's first single album, GENERATION, would be released on October 10. On the same day, the first member of The Charlie Cohort was teased.
Seongyul was revealed as the tenth member of the group and first member of The Charlie Cohort on September 25. cosmichaus later confirmed that his cohort would consist of seven members, bringing the group's total number of members to sixteen.
2024: The Vanguard Testimonials[]
On April 10, cosmichaus announced The Vanguard Testimonials; single albums released solo by a different member of seVenwrld each time.

Corps[]
Instead of traditional 'lines,' as there are no set positions for the group at large, members of seVenwrld are broken up into three corps: vocal, dance and rap. These corps are an indication to the strengths of a member and the likely positions they could hold in a sub-unit.
A fourth corps unit, the ace corps, was established in 2024 to distinguish members who excel in all three areas of performance.

Vanguard Assignment Ballots[]
The Vanguard Assignment Ballot (반가드 어사인먼트 발롯) is an election that precedes the releases of 7WRLD VANGUARD where fans can vote for their favourite seVenwrld members. In each ballot, a pre-determined number of members is announced for the unit's release and the members who occupy the ascertained rankings will partake in said release and promotion cycle. The ballots also serve as a means of measuring individual popularity within the group, leading to further opportunities according to cosmichaus.
cosmichaus has stated that there will be at least one ballot per yearly quarter.
