Before they joined Aqua, Kamika was an exchange student in a Korean college, Hazel was working part-time as a barista, Chaoxing was at China Got Talent and Produce 101 China but sadly she was only ranked #14 but debuted as a soloist few years in 2022 with the studio album 190, Yumiko was just an ordinary high school student and still was on M.A.X. Entertainment in Osaka as a trainee, Hayoon was from a rich family and was studying at Hanlim Arts School, Yana was a toys and gaming YouTuber but quit in 2015, and TBA used to be an influencer during the pandemic days.
Around July 10 of 2022, Aqua Entertainment announced that they will start a six-member multinational girl group, but they didn't reveal the name and told us that they will debut around 2023. A few months later, Aqua announced that they would not debut this girl group because they needed to prepare more, and some trainees requested that they train a little more, and they now extended it. 2 years after that, they now revealed the group name, which is STARZ, revealed the logo, and said that the members would be revealed on random dates.
On October 15, 2024, Kamika was the 1st member to be revealed in the multinational girl group STARZ as a main rapper and sub vocalist of the group.
On October 19, 2024, Hazel is the second member of STARZ and as the main vocalist and lead dancer.On October 26, 2024, Chaoxing and Yumiko to be the third and fourth member of STARZ, On November 10,2024, Hayoon is the fifth member to be revealed of STARZ and as the Main Vocalist and Lead Dancer.
On November 22,2024, Yana is the sixth member to be revealed of STARZ as the Lead Dancer, Rapper, Sub-Vocalist.
On December 5, 2024, Kamika terminated her contract with her group and left STARZ and Aqua because of personal reasons and also because of her family.
After Kamika left in December, she was replaced by a Zainichi Korean named Sayuri, and now Yana's positions was changed to main rapper and also announced the date of their debut.
On December 20 2024, Charlotte is the seventh and the last member to be revealed in STARZ as the Vocalist and Sub-Dancer.
On January 25,2025, they released their first mini-album Waveway. Which was confirmed by the letter of when Kamika left.
On February 14,2025, Sim Yejin has announced the graduation system and a system similar to Morning Musume and AKB48.
On February 15,2025, Seoah from Korea and Xianying from China are the first members to announce from 1st Generation. On May 7,2025, Tsumigi from Japan is the third member to be revealed from 1st Generation.
On May 9,2025, Jieun from Korea is the fourth and last member to be revealed from 1st Generation. 3 days later,they annouced 2nd Generation which Mei was the first member to be revealed from 2nd Generation which will have 5 members. In total, STARZ will have 16 members.
On May 25,2025, Aqua announced a new studio album called Who’s Serenade. It’s unknown when it’s going to be released,netizens said it will release on late June.

- The original line-up was planned to be 15; instead, it just became 7 due to the company’s choice and many members leaving for different career paths.
- The name used to be Fantasy Girls but changed to STARZ.
- Chaoxing was on Produce 101 China.
- Yumiko used to be part of the line-up of Harmonious.
- They were alot of people that used to be part of the original line-up sadly nobody knows who they are and only four are currently revealed.
- STARZ was supposed to be a co-ed group until it got scrapped.
- They were also supposed to have a system like AKB48 and Morning Musume, but quickly scrapped because the CEO didn't like the idea.
