SOLARIS Maker (Korean: 솔라리스 마케르), stylized as SOLARIS MAKER, is a upcoming survival show created by GALAXY Entertainment that will be broadcasted on Mnet and YouTube. The show's goal is to produce a 12-member multinational global girl group SOLARIS.
It will be aired every Sunday. Its first episode is set to be aired on February 5, 2023.
Concept[]
SOLARIS Maker is a survival show, in which GALAXY Entertainment's girl group - SOLARIS will be formed. Each of the show's rounds will determine which of the 12 out of 60 participants will debut. The first two episodes are set to be the presentation of 60 girls (30 per episode) and will also consist of first group performances. The next part of the show is a competition where they show off their singing, dancing, and rapping skills. During this part, 3 contestants per episode will be eliminated until the number of contestants will reach 24, which is the number of participants who will be able to compete in the final episode. The group will have a permanent contract. The trainees will be divided into 4 teams: K (Korean), J (Japanese), C (Chinese), and G (Global) - 15 members per team, depending on contestants' nationality. The final group will consist of 3 members of each team, which means that only 12 members will be able to debut.
Background[]
The auditions for the program started presumably in June 2022. They were held in Seoul, South Korea, Tokyo, Japan, New York, United States, Sydney, Australia, London, United Kingdom, and Rabat, Morroco. The final 60 contestants were chosen among 1500 audition participants. Qualifications for the show were closed on December 15, 2022.
On December 16, GALAXY announced that the show would be aired in early 2023. Later it was revealed that SOLARIS Maker would be aired from February till late May. On December 17, the day of the premiere was set to February 5, 2023, while the final would be held on May 21, 2023. It was also confirmed that the contestants will be revealed in January (2 girls per day).
On January 4, 2023 it was confirmed that SABERA 127 would perform on the first episode. On January 5, Playground was revealed as the second group that will have a quest appearance.

The contestants are divided into 4 teams: K (Korean), J (Japanese), C (Chinese), and G (Global). They are going to be revealed from January 1 to January 31, 2023 (2 girls per 1 day). In the brackets next to the participant's name, there will be a letter assigned to the team to which the participant belongs i.e. XXX - contestant's name (X) - the letter.
