Royal Crush is a South Korean girl group formed by LO Entertainment and Picture Music in 2022, consisting of five members: Soeun, Minji, Eunwoo, Seunghee and Chaerin. They officially debuted on May 12, 2022 with the extended play (EP) ROYAL.

History[]

Pre-debut[]

Eunwoo was previously active as a theatre actress and a popular ulzzang account on Instagram. She is also known to be the younger sister of SOLVIZ member Kwon Jang-hun. Seunghee is a child actress and played Ji-min, the younger sister of judge Jaden Kim in the 2021 SBS drama Brutal Justice. Chaerin is a former contestant of The Voice of South Korea and was a TOP Media trainee from 2019 to 2020. She is also a cousin of SOLVIZ member Gyumin. Soeun previously appeared as an extra in the music videos for Yong Hwa's "Fake Friends" and LXXK's debut single "LXXK".

In early 2022, members Eunwoo, Seunghee and Chaerin participated in survival competition Star Maker 101. Eunwoo and Seunghee were trainees of Four Bloc Records while Chaerin was an independent contestant. Chaerin was eliminated in the second ranking ceremony placing 43rd while the other two were eliminated in the third ranking ceremony, placing 21st and 24th respectively.

2022: Member reveals[]

On March 23, 2022, WE:LIFT and Picture Music announced that they would be collaborating to a five member girl group called Royal Crush and revealed the groups official logo. On April 18, 2022 WE:LIFT and Picture Music launched the groups official SNS Accounts and revealed two members — Soeun and Minji.

On April 20, 2022, WE:LIFT and Picture Music revealed the three remaining members — Eunwoo, Seonghee and Chaerin. On April 28. 2022 WE:LIFT and Picture Music announced the debut date for the group and released the groups debut scheduler.

2022 (2): Debut with ROYAL[]

On May 12, 2022 Royal Crush made their debut with their first EP ROYAL, the EP was lead by the single of the same name.

2022 (3): LOVE HURTS[]

On September 10, 2022, Royal Crush made their first comeback with their first mini album Love Hurts, the album was lead by the single of the same name

2023: Ominous Grace, 1st European Tour "Ominous Tour : Royal Crush 2023".[]

On August 18, 2023, it was reported that Royal Crush was preparing for a comeback with their first studio album. The report was later on confirmed in a statement by LO Entertainment and Picture Music and a comeback scheduler was released on August 26 for the groups first studio album Ominous Grace. The group made their comeback with Ominous Grace on September 23, 2023, with the title track "Grace".
