RPS (가위 바위 보), also known as Rock Paper Scissors or Roleplays, was a short-lived 3 member South Korean actress girl group under Management A. Originally as a quartet, the group debuted on May 19, 2022, with the single "DD (Dumb Dumb)". They disbanded on January 29, 2023, after the remaining members had wished to remain as actresses in the company.
History[]
2022: Debut, Natu-Ral's departure, "Dream"[]
The girl group was formed sometime in 2022, after actress Kang Yeonmi wanted to debut in her own girl group and experience the idol life for her and 3 other actresses, whom she was friends with. She brought actresses Han Juum, Lee Jayeon, and Kim Euihee, and the quartet joined acting and music agency Management A, which was founded by one of the top actors and one of the top producers in the nation. The quartet began training.
On May 2, a teaser was released of their upcoming debut single to be "DD (Dumb Dumb)", which would be released on May 19. The single was consequently released on May 19, and gained moderate attention.
Unfortunately, on September 8, news reported that Natu-Ral would be departing from the group after she had reportedly gotten a knee injury, and the group would be continuing as a trio. A week later, a teaser was released, revealing the group would be releasing their second single titled, "Dream" on September 29.
2023: "Now We're Star", disbandment[]
The group released their third, and what would be final single, "Now We're Star", on January 19.
On January 29, it was reported the group would be disbanding due to the members wishing to remain as actresses. However, the members would be staying under Management A as fully-fledged actresses, including former member Natu-Ral.
