Queen of Hearts is a girl group under Neptune Entertainment. They debuted on May 1, 2025 with the single "Start a Fire".
History[]
Pre-debut[]
The Queen of Hearts project was born in 2023 under Neptune Entertainment, a subsidiary of the larger Lunaris Entertainment. The initial objective was to form a girl group with an elegant and sophisticated concept, able to combine vocal, choreographic and visual elements with strong emotional impact. The first line-up, with Sera, Jiyeon, Chaeeun, Rina, Hwang Areum, Yeji and Yoonah, was to embody the prototype of the refined girl crush.
However, problems related to divergent artistic visions, debut pressures and perhaps still immature management led, already in the second half of 2023, to a drastic transformation. Miya, Soyeon and Hyunhee took over, who kept the flame of the group alive for a few months before leaving in their turn at the beginning of 2024. The group, left without members, seemed on the verge of being permanently deleted.
Neptune announced a surprise new line-up with Haesul, Minjung, Euna and Ara: four very promising trainees, chosen to revive the group’s image with a more pop-rock and modern sound. Expectations were high, and several social media teasers fueled the hype. However, despite the talent, the internal cohesion was not enough: at the beginning of 2025, this line-up also dissolves without officially releasing any single.
When it seemed that Queen of Hearts were destined to remain a "ghost group", Neptune Entertainment put in place a total restructuring of the project. After a long and silent selection period, a new seven-member formation is announced in mid-2025: Yoori, Jinae, Minsol, Chaerin, Jiwon, Areum and Dayeon.
2025-present: Debut[]
The official debut with "Start a Fire" marks the true birth of Queen of Hearts: the single wins over critics for its mix of rhythmic power, catchy melodic lines and a strong message about female empowerment.
Soon after, they released the mini album "Taste it", with the title track "Chocolate Cream", a collaboration with Zeke, known rapper of SERAIN. This featuring marks the group’s entry into an inter-agency narrative.
Legacy[]
The group’s turbulent past has made Queen of Hearts a symbol of resistance and second chance, gaining the sympathy of the public who followed their ups and downs. After their debut, their popularity began to grow in Korea and Japan, with good feedback from international fans as well.
