QUEENDOM of CORDELIA (퀸덤 오브 코델리아) is an upcoming South Korean survival show where 20 female trainees will compete to secure a spot in Olympic Records' next girl group. The show is set to premiere in March 2023.
Concept[]
The show focuses around twenty of Olympic Records' female trainees as they compete for a spot in CORDELIA. Guided through the competition by various mentors that have been handpicked from the company's roster of active artists, the girls will vie for the public's votes.
Background[]
During the 2023 Olympic Records Conference, CEO Shin Mae-Geun announced intentions to debut a girl group within the year. When asked to give more details about the nature of the debut, she declined and simply promised that it would be "different for the company."
On February 12, it was officially announced that the group would be formed under the survival show 'QUEENDOM OF CORDELIA.' Though the final number of debuting girls was withheld, it was implied that it was dynamic and could change dependent on public opinion.
On February 20, an animated logo teaser was released for the show, confirming that the show would begin to officially air in March 2023.
On February 24, the first batch of six contestants were revealed.
