"Pink Pony Club" (released as Pink Pony Club - Live at Hangang Mystery's Coffee Shop) is a cover song by South Korean boy band Anomii of Chappell Roan's 2020 single of the same name. It was performed at Hangang's Mystery Coffee Shop, and was officially released as a studio cover on September 8, 2025 due to popular demand.
BACKGROUND[]
In mid-August, it was confirmed that boy band Anomii has been invited to appear on Hangang's Mystery Coffee Shop as part of their debut promotions for their extended play (EP) Do You Even Know What True Love Is?. As part of their upcoming set, it was revealed by member Song Wonchan that they will be covering one song that will be decided by both South Korean and international fans. The three songs that were provided were: Yong Hwa's "Fake Friends" (2021), Chappell Roan's "Pink Pony Club" (2020), and Han Yul and Lyubov Mel's "Can We Ever Get Back Together?" (2025). Voting was conducted on Anomii's Realmu page, and by a percentage of 50.2%, "Pink Pony Club" won the poll.
During their brief ment, it was revealed that members Benjamin Castro and Choi Jaewon were the ones who pitched to have the song in their cover choices. Jaewon described the song as "one of his most listened songs last year," while Castro said it was meaningful to him because of the original artist and lyrics' yearning for a safe space where she can truly express herself. "Chappell Roan, they can never make me hate you," Castro said right before the cover started, causing Heonbo to chuckle.
