Oh Byeongseo (오병서) is a South Korean actress and musician under RAY Entertainment. She is a former member of the band RAY, which disbanded in 2022. She will be making her television acting debut in the upcoming 2023 drama Linewalkers.

Early Life[]
Oh Byeongseo was born on February 2nd, 2003, in Daegu, South Korea. Byeongseo keeps details about her early life private out of politeness for her family. She is still well-liked in the community she grew up in, indicating that she was a kid that her neighbours liked.
Byeongseo began learning how to play the bass when she was 8 years old, and it became her main hobby.
Career[]
Byeongseo debuted as the bassist of the band RAY in 2018. Originally meant to be the vocalist, Byeongseo felt like her voice didn't suit the music of the group, and preferred to stay as just the bassist. As the band was a high school band, they wrote all of their own songs. Byeongseo was noted for her skills in creating catchy bass lines. The band mainly performed at local coffee houses and small gigs, and released their music digitally.
When the oldest member of RAY graduated high school in 2019, he officially started RAY Entertainment so that the band could say they were under a company. With some financial help from that member's wealthy family, RAY was given more opportunities to make music. The band's first big break through was with their first physical album, which through excellent promotion, sold more copies than the band expected. They also made some more noise around the local live houses, earning them bigger gigs. RAY's popularity grew in the Korean rock scene more than they thought it would.
From 2019 until 2022, RAY released a few albums. They rose from underground to main performer status, headlining a few big events. In 2022, the band decided to disband RAY, as the members wanted to do different things outside of music. The members all decided to stay listed under RAY Entertainment's artists, although the company had managed to sign a couple more artists which helped it stay afloat. Byeongseo wanted to figure out what exactly she wanted to do. Acting was something she had always wanted to try, and she had been taking lessons for a couple of years as a hobby.
Byeongseo came out as transgender in 2022, changing her name to Byeongseo, shortly after RAY's disbandment. She expressed that she didn't plan on coming out, but realized that the community her fans had formed was welcoming and accepting, so she felt comfortable enough to. Byeongseo's fans had noticed that she had begun transitioning way before she came out, but nobody seemed to question it.
When Byeongseo saw that there was a role audition for a transgender student in an upcoming drama, she decided to give it a try. She was given the role, Hwang Juna, in the drama Linewalkers.
