Nara is the co-leader, main dancer, visual and face of the seven member girl group Synesthesia and a soloist under Space Entertainment. She debuted with Synesthesia on February 8th 2024 and she makes her solo debut on April 28th 2025.
History[]
Pre-Debut[]
She was born on March 18th 2003. Her biological parents are unknown and she was adopted a few weeks after she is born by a lesbian couple from outside of South Korea. She was brought up in America.
Growing up Nara did feel out of place because both of her adoptive parents were white. Whilst they had adopted other children from inside and outside of Korea she ended up feeling isolated. Discovering k-pop meant that it helped her to feel more comfortable because she found something that she could relate to.
She never thought about becoming a k-pop idol and instead had more of an interest in becoming a fashion model. She was interested in joining the big brands and becoming a model for them. The only reason she ended up joining Space Entertainment was because she went with her friend who was wanting to audition. Whilst her friend was auditioning a few of the scouts had an eye on Nara and wanted her to audition. She decided to try and audition and she was almost immediately selected while her friend was not. Her friend was jealous but she tried to be supportive of her.
Due to her friends jealousy she lost contact with her. It was heartbreaking Nara but soon realised she didn't need that kind of friendship and tries to leave that friendship in the past. When she first joins Space Entertainment she had discovered that this old friend had created rumours about her and had written about her in a bad light on a few social media posts. She ended up blocking and reporting every post she could find and eventually the company had to come in and take action. Luckily throughout all this she had created a good support network and wasn't alone in the ordeal. It affected her for a while and for a few weeks there were many questions around her. Eventually that questioning died down and she finally got to start training without feeling anxious about what the others thought of her.
At Space Entertainment she meets Haneul and they have an instant friendship. A few months after meeting they decide to create a girl group. Nara becomes a producer, chorographer, writer and the co-leader for the group alongside Haneul.
Debut Month (8th February to 8th March 2024)[]
She debuts with Synesthesia on February 8th 2024.
She started doing fortnightly livestreams starting from February 12th 2024. She mostly does it by herself and she sometimes even creates quizzes and challenges for fans to do.
It was announced that she was the one who came up with the fandom name, Pastel. At first not all of the members agreed with it but soon everyone in the group ended up liking it as a fandom name.
On March 4th Haneul and Nara do a livestream together and they unveil that they both created the group, picked the girls and that they are both the leaders and producers of the group.
Career[]
2024[]
On February 8th 2024 she officially debuts with Synesthesia as the main dancer of the group. She choreographed all of their songs in the mini album and she also helped to produce and write some of the songs alongside Haneul.
On April 19th 2024 it was announced that she will be an MC on MBS Rankdown alongside Bae Yeju and R3THR0's, Insujo starting from April 27th 2024. She was MC for eight months.
On July 12th 2024 it was announced that she was selected to be on the front cover of WONDACE Magazine's July issue for their True Beauty Campaign.
She became a brand ambassador for the South Korean cosmetics and fashion brand, Rougir, starting from September 4th 2024 for nine months.
2025[]
On February 10th 2025 she was announced as an ambassador for the fashion company Rêve Atelier.
On April 7th 2025 she releases a pre-debut single called Not Your Baby out of the blue. She will officially debut as a soloist on April 28th 2025 with the mini album Breath.
On April 14th 2025 it was announced that she will be a Pulse Navigator (Dance Trainer) on the upcoming survival show STAR RAIL.
On April 19th 2025 she releases a second pre-debut single named Blind Eyes Red in anticipation for her debut on April 28th 2025.
On April 28th 2025 she debuts as a soloist with the mini album BREATH.
