NFB (Korean: 엔에프비, Japanese: エヌエフビー), is a multinational 22-member boy group under LIMERENCE. They are slated to make their debut in the third quarter of 2025. The group is a byproduct of the documentary survival show Nefelibata: Metal Wings, where it documents the trainees raw lifestyle and struggle.
The group will be organized in four subunits, and they will have their full group comeback every 2 years.
NFB is a short form of the term Nefelibata, which means "cloud walker" in Portuguese. Nefelibata means an individual who daydreams and indulge in their own imagination. They do not abide by the rules of society, art or literature and they are known to be an unorthodox person that does not fit in with typical society standards. NFB wants to be the group that does not obey the rules of group presentation (hence thirty members instead of 4-13 members), have a concept that is familiar and expressive but true to their name. The group strives to present a group of individuals who can succeed in the industry despite being different.

Pre-debut[]
NFB was already planned all the way in 2019, where the majority of the original trainees are either left or "eliminated" offscreen. The group is supposed to be a majority Korean lineup, with a couple of foreign trainees. However, due to the success and demand of the international audition, they are open for more foreign trainees. Especially during the K-pop boom in 2018 with acts such as BTS and BLACKPINK made K-pop well known to a worldwide audience.
Some of the contestants are eliminated or dropped out of the company, which makes only 12 trainees out of 30 trained around 2019-2020. The rest of the trainees are scouted in the newest survival show Nefelibata University of the Arts.
NFB's training is infamously known for being hard and demanding on the trainees' physical and mental health. Of course, it doesn't make people very good at their specialties right off the bat. However, the training is very strict at choosing members that are charismatic and are hard workers regardless of skills.
