NEXT IN CLASS (넥스트 인 클래스; also stylized as NEXTINCLASS) is a South Korean survival-reality show that aims creating the leading K-Pop girl group of the 5th generation of K-Pop. The show premiered on November 1, 2023 at 20:20 KST.
History[]
On September 1, 2023, SLEN Network released the first teaser for their up-coming original survival show NEXT IN CLASS. The show's premise is to create the leaders of the next generation for the K-Pop scene with trainees who are considered all-rounders selected from a pool of over 11.000 trainees. The final group would make their debut under a newly established agency that would be revealed sometime throughout the show. The difference between this show and other survival shows is that nobody will be eliminated until the finale where the final debutants will be revealed.
On October 1, 2023, the signal song "I AM NEXT" was released throughout different music platform also through YouTube with a Music Video/Performance. The next day all 21 contestants were revealed and their profiles respectively.
On November 16, 2023, SCS revealed that the final group would be managed by the newest subsidiary NIC Entertainment, created to promote the group.
