NABI is the Featured Group of August 2024

Nabi (나비) is a 4-member South Korean girl group formed under Ethereal Productions but currently managed by Moon Choir Entertainment. They debuted on December 15, 2023, with their mini album THE CREATION, and it's titletrack NABI.
E.P. stated they weren't going to have a specific concept, because their music would be centered around change and freedom.
Nabi changed labels on 2025, when Ethereal Production's CEOs had a falling out and Jihye funded her own company.
Etymology[]
Group[]
"Nabi" is the romanization of the Korean word 나비, which means butterfly, and it's also an acronym formed by the first letter of the members' stage name, from oldest to youngest.
As the group's lore grew, it was confirmed that the "Nabi" styling was a reference to The Nabi, a deity within their universe. Once ATLAS was released, this entity wasn't a main factor anymore and the name's styling was changed to be fully capitalized, further affirming the member's relevance.
Fandom[]
Since the group's theme is butterflies, the fandom is called Breeze because they are the ones who allow the group to keep moving forward (opposing to this, the haters were unofficially named Stormzzz).
Career[]
2023: Debut, first web-reality show, first live performances[]
On October 27, the first official hint at the groups debut was released by Ethereal Productions, and the very next day, all 4 members were announced, together with the group's name and their official social media. Two days later the release schedule for their debut was released, revealing there would be 2 pre-release singles before the official titletrack. The first day of November the concept photos for their first pre-release, Chrysalia, were published, and later, on November 3, the MV was released. It got 4.468k views on it's first week.
On November 16 Ethereal P. announced the group was going to have their own web-reality show, called NabiFLY, which would begin airing the very next day, and every Friday following that.
On November 20, Nabi threw a special concert performing songs like Blackpink's "As If It's Your Last", Twice's "Cry For Me", Itzy's "Loco", StayC's "Teddy Bear", and more. After the performances, they held a fanmeeting, where Breezes were able to personally talk to the members for the first time. They ended the meeting performing Chrysalia and their soon to be released single Sintonia.
On November 23, the concept photos for Sintonia were published in the groups social media. Later, on the 27, Sintonia MV was released, and it closed it's first week with 6.341k views.
From December 5 to 9 the NABI concept photos were published, one member each day, but the release of the MV and album was pstponed to December 15 due to company complications. Then, they officially debuted and both the dance practice and comeback showcase were published the same day as the MV.
In December, Nabi was included in MBS Music Committee's "9 rising artists" list, regarded as "artists which they believe have strong artistic and commercial potential that the media and general public must look forward to in 2024".
2024: 1st ad 2nd comeback, 'Get Your Wings' Fan Concert, first music show win, LIMENOUS brand deal, Hangang Artistry Awards[]
On March 3, Ethereal Productions announced all Nabi members and Kuin were preparing a special single for March 12 in honor of the CEOs' birthday.
Near the end of March, Nabi's second mini album, 1 vs. ONE, was announced. Nabi did a special fan-meeting one day before the album release where they performed some of the songs before release. SONIC's Jinwoo and Synesthesia's Nara atended this concert.
On April 13, the album was released, with Burn That Thread acting as the titletrack. On April 19, Burn That Thread got it's first win on MBS Rankdown, which was also the group's first win overall.
Around the middle of May, it was announced that the members were already preparing for their next comeback, with fans speculation entertaining the idea of a summer comeback.
Nabi was feaatured in the group version of WONDACE Magazine's true beauty campaign, on June 2024 issue.

" Both. Beauty is the ability to embrace your vulnerable parts and be confident about them, and how they make you a better person. Perfection is still, unchanging, the opposite of true beauty. Being flawed, knowing it, and being confident about that is beauty at it's finest. Nabi continues to share that, seeing that their group concept is focused on change, they understand each side to beauty. It can't be defined, confined, or settled; the beauty of the world and everything on it is evidence that it can change.
On June 12, their first Fan Concert "Get Your Wings" was announced, and it took place 4 days later. In the concert, the members performed some of their previously released songs and two previews for their next release (Unicorn, HEHE). Each member got a moment to shine in their solo stages, performing songs from other artists. Lastly, the group R3THR0 had a special featuring and performed their songs Treasure You and On Your Own. After the concert, the fans who bought the VIP entrance got to meet up with the members of Nabi and chat with them.
During the Concert, Nayeon revealed that they were preparing a comeback for August, and that HEHE was their next promotional single. It is unclear if this means HEHE will the the album's titletrack or just a pre-release.
From June 21 to 24, the HEHE Trailer videos were published, one for each member, and on the 25 their comeback with the 3rd mini album Summer In The Dark was announced, with HEHE acting as a pre-release on July 3, while the titletrack, Ice Cream, Love, would be released on July 30, a day prior to the album.
On July 10th the fashion brand LIMENOUS revealed Nabi as their new brand ambassadors.
Ice Cream, Love became Nabi's best performing single on it's first week, earning the group's first PAK, multiple number one placements on various charts (BE.LIV, Genie, MelOn, etc) and the most views on the first week for one of their comebacks.
On August 7 Nabi's first Asian tour, 'The BINARY Tour' was announced. Dates and setlist is still unknown.
Promotions for Ice Cream, Love finished on August 27, closing off as Nabi's most comercially succesful single. It spent several weeks in the number one position for various charts and earned seven music show wins.
On November 1, Nabi was revealed to be nominated for 5 categories at the 2024 Hangang Artistry Awards, including mayor categories Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. A month later, during the show's ceremony, the were awarded Best Ballad/Folk Recording and Best New Artist, being this their first two music awards ever.
Nabi made their official Japanese debut with the single album BINARY on November 9, 2024. The release was not as big as a hit compared to their previous releases, but it did well domestically.
After Ethereal Productions' CEOs had a falling out, Kang Jihye founded her own agency on December and moved Nabi to said label, although the group's logo and SNS handles (which referenced their former label's name) were kept the same. A statement was released clarifying that this label transition would not affect Nabi's schedule a all and their upcoming tour would proceed as planned.
2025: The BINARY Tour, first full album[]
From January 25 to March 13 Nabi embarked in their first Asian tour, visiting eight countries in said continent across 16 dates. The tour set-list included unreleased songs from their first full album ATLAS, set to be released on the second quarter of the year.
ATLAS was released on May 22, and it became Nabi's most successful released on just 48 hours. Following the group's lore and based on what happened on this album, the group rebranded to NABI on May 31:

With this change, the group's logo and social media handles were also updated. Aside from the lore implications, fans saw this rebranding as NABI's subtle way of fully separating themselves from Ethereal Productions and Han Byun-Sok.
On June 1st and after almost a whole year since the announcement, the MV for Unicorn was finally released with a special MV made of footage from The BINARY Tour. The video ends with a message that reads "June might be pride month, but we got to be proud of our colors every single day!".
Promotions for ATLAS finished on June 19 with a post made by the members themselves thanking all fans for a wonderful year and a half while teasing future solo plans for the rest of the year. On the following day Moon Choir Entertainment confirmed that the group would be going on a 3-month hiatus beginning on July 1 so the members could get their well deserved vacations, and this would mark the first period of time since the group's debut when no member was seen publicly for over a week. Nonetheless, all members kept posting on their social media regularly and were seen hanging out together multiple times.
