Muses Morph Entertainment (뮤즈 모프 엔터테인먼트), also known as Muses Morph or Muses Entertainment, is a entertainment and acting agency located in Gangnam-du, Seoul, South Korea.
History[]
The founding (2008-2015)[]
Muses Morph was founded on January 7, 2008, by 3 best friends: Shin Haeju, Kim Yunah, and Lee Hyeji. The 3 were all actors, and have became friends when they were in high school. Shin then suggested to create an agency to manage actors' activities. And such, Muses Morph was born. Slowly, actors started joining. Major actors, like Kim Harang and Hyun Minseon, joined the company. Very quickly, the company quickly propelled as one of the major acting agencies.
Conversion to music and actor agency (2015-2018)[]
Kim, after noticing the rise of K-POP groups, suggested to the 2 to have the company become both a music and an actor agency, believing that it would lead to a more successful route. Shin and Lee were both reasonably doubtful about it, since they never managed music-related artists nor have any experience in any. Lee then says that they'll try it, and that they'll give it their best shot. Shin agreed, but told Kim that if the whole music thing does not work for the agency, they will revert to an actor agency again. Kim agreed to the deal, and then they started the conversion. During the conversion, they recruited 10 trainees: Shin Hyejin, Lee Byeol. Kim Hyunkyung, Ji Soobin, Son Chaeyun, Tae Joonmun, Jang Hoyeon, Ha Taeil, Do Jungbin, and Son Woosik.
The company revealed that they will a debut a duo named MY2, specifically a female duo. This duo consisted of trainees Shin Hyejin and Son Chaeyun. They debuted on May 8th, 2015, with the single "Baby". The duo received great success, winning on multiple shows. After 3 comebacks passed, it was revealed that the duo will disband due to Chaeyun's involvement in gambling and drunk-driving. Shin Hyejin soon left the company.
On October 25, Lee announced that former REVICE members Geunshik and Siyang had signed with the agency, and are confirmed to be re-debuting as a duo with the name REVIGEUNYANG. The name is a combination of REVICE and Geunshik and Siyang's names. The duo is set to re-debut in January of 2024.
