Moon Yujin (문유진) is a South Korean singer and producer under Big Planet Creative. He made his debut on July 1, 2024 with the digital single "NASTY".
Early Life[]
Yujin was born on April 10, 1997 in Itaewon, South Korea. His father was a well known DJ who performed at some of Itaewon's most popular nightclubs while his mother was a former Trot singer. These unique blends of sounds became the soundtrack of Yujin's childhood and the main inspiration of the artist he his today. As a child, Yujin was always drawn to the unique sounds that echoed throughout his home as his dad would be experimenting with new sounds on his keyboard all while his mom sang along to all the Trot songs that were popular at the time. It wasn't just the sounds in his home that shaped him, it was the countless echoes and vibrations from the local restaurants and clubs that filled the night sky. Hearing the music and diverse melodies ignited a spark within him, he knew some day, with hard work and determination, he would be able to hear his own songs be played at the clubs that captivated him.
His teenage years were a whirlwind of self-discoveries. As Yujin would walk the streets, the vibrant nightlife exposed him to the world of Electronic Music, Hip-Hop, R&B, Pop and K-Pop. With a gifted laptop he received for Christmas he downloaded a music software program and began his music producing journey. It was all of easy for Yujin as there were plenty of trials and errors but with patience he was able to create a plethora of songs that were inspired by the sounds of his childhood. After much patience and practice, the day he dreamed when he was a kid was finally happening. On his 19th birthday, he joined his father at one of his gigs and played his tracks. Hearing the sounds he produced pulsate through the club and seeing the people dance to the beat brought tears and an infectious smile to Yujin's face. This was only the beginning of his already crazy career.
