Molly (몰리), also known by her producer pseudonym MISS CAPET (미스카페이), is a South Korean-American singer-songwriter and producer under VELA. She is the leader and main producer of ALUNISSAGE, the company's first venture.
She is a former member of the girl group Queen Amethyst, serving as the group's lead vocalist and maknae.
She is the primary producer for fellow NAVIS COLUMBA boy groups seVenwrld and CELOSIA.
Early Life[]
Molly was born Molly Hwang/Hwang Ji-sol (황지솔) on 19 June 2001, in North Hempstead, New York, USA to native South Korean parents. Her father, Hwang Gyu-Wook (황규욱), a hair stylist, and mother, Lee Ji-won (이지원), a kindergarten teacher, had both moved to the United States in their youth in search of more economic opportunities.
Molly has one older brother, Caiden Hwang/Hwang Jong-u (황종우) born in 1999 and one younger sister, Emily Hwang/Hwang Ha-ryeon (황하련) born in 2003.
She attended Harbor Hill Elementary School, Roslyn Middle School and Roslyn High School. During her high school sophomore year, Molly was successful in an audition for KICKING MUSIC and flew to South Korea to undertake her training. She lived with her paternal grandparents during this time.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Upon a successful audition cycle, Molly officially became a KICKING MUSIC trainee on March 8, 2016 and was put on the vocalist track. During a workshop held for all KICKING MUSIC trainees, she became interested in music production.
Molly was a trainee for just under one year and one month before her debut.
2017: Debut with Queen Amethyst[]
On April 6, 2017, Queen Amethyst released a music video featuring Molly for "Diamond", the lead single of their debut mini-album CRYSTALLINE. Molly debuted as the group's lead vocalist and maknae.
2019: Producer Debut[]
On December 17, 2019, Molly made her producer debut under the pseudonym MISS CAPET after being credited for multiple songs on SCOUT's full album COMPASS.
2022: Disbandment of Queen Amethyst[]
On December 31, KICKING MUSIC announced that Queen Amethyst would be disbanding due to the company's lack of financial stability to support the group. Molly remained with the company, signing as an in-house producer as it transitioned to cosmichaus.
2024: Transfer to VELA and Debut with ALUNISSAGE[]
At some point in February 2024, Molly was transferred from cosmichaus to VELA to become part of the Team N²G² (NAVIS NEW GIRL GROUP).
Through her cameo in labelmate Helio's MV for Caffeinator, Molly was confirmed as a member of VELA's new girl group. The same day, VELA confirmed that she was the group's leader.
On July 27, 2024, ALUNISSAGE released a music video featuring Molly for "Attention", the lead single of their debut mini-album ALNSG. Molly debuted as the group's leader, vocalist and producer. It was confirmed at their debut showcase that she would continue to be the primary producer for 7WRLD VANGUARD and CELOSIA.

Personality[]
Molly is marked by her quiet, calm demeanour - often joked as being regal or royal in essence. Her members often joke that she continues to live to the concept of Queen Amethyst. She is always photo-ready and rarely is without a carefully thought out reply to a question. When assigned an animal by her groupmates in ALUNISSAGE, she was given the swan on the account of her regal, graceful personality. She is often protective of her members and has been given the epithet of being the 'mom' of the group.
Molly does, however, have a mischievous side to her that was more prevalent in Queen Amethyst as its maknae. Although that side of her is still there when it is just her and her girls, Molly has commented that she feels a degree of responsibility as ALUNISSAGE's leader and the member with the most experience in the industry.
She ultimately has ALUNISSAGE and its members' best interests at the forefront of her vision and does her best in trying to succeed for her members' sakes.
