Milky Way (은하수), alternatively known as EHS, is a South Korean co-ed group under Space Entertainment. They were previously under Galaxia Entertainment but left the company in 2023. The group currently consists of 6 members: Max, Evelyn, Aseul, Park Hyun, Jangmi and TS. They officially debuted on April 23, 2017 with their studio album Proxima Centauri. They are currently on hiatus due to two members completing their military service and one member being on a personal hiatus. They are known for naming their albums after constellations.

History[]

2016 - 2017: Pre-Debut, Debut with Proxima Centauri[]

The group were first introduced as Co-ed Rookies under the company Galaxia Entertainment around a year before they debuted. They would be the companies first co-ed group.

On March 8th 2017 it was announced that they will debut in April with a studio album.

On April 23rd 2017 they officially debut with the studio album Proxima Centauri. Named after the second closest star to the Earth.

2018: Andromeda and Corvus[]

On November 2017 their first comeback is announced for January 2018.

On January 9th 2018 they comeback with their first mini album named Andromeda, based off the Andromeda constellation which contains the Andromeda Galaxy. The closest galaxy to the Milky Way Galaxy and it is considered the 19th largest constellation out of 88 recognized galaxies[1].

On April 17th they announce their second comeback which was to be released on May 19th 2018.

They release their third comeback Corvus, which was named after constellation of Corvus (meaning crow or raven) which represents Apollo's sacred bird, it consists of the Antennae Galaxies[2].

2019: Centaurus and Lynx[]

On March 9th they announce their fourth comeback.

They release their fourth comeback on May 9th. It is named Centaurus after one of the largest constellations in the sky. It represents a centaur and it contains two of the ten brightest stars in the sky named Alpha Centauri and Beta Centauri[3].

The release their fifth comeback on August 21st. The mini album is called Lynx named after the Lynx constellation which belongs to the Ursa Major family[4]

2020: Coma Berenices, World Tour Announcement and Serpens[]

On June 12th they release their second studio album named Coma Berenices named after a constellation which contains two stars and eight messier objects[5]

On August 18th they announce that they will complete a world tour from late 2021 to early 2022.

On October 20th they release their seventh comeback named Serpens named after a constellation which is divided into two parts and it contains The Pillars of Creation[6].

2021 - 2022: Ursa Major and The Nebula Tour[]

On May 22nd they release their eighth comeback named Ursa Major which means 'the great bear' and it is named after the third largest constellation in the night sky[7].

On October 20th they start the Nebula Tour.

On April 4th they end their Nebula Tour after completing sixty shows all around the world.

2023: Leaving The Company[]

After a long year of no album releases the group announces that they will be leaving the company. At the time they were unsure whether they would stay as a group but the members bid their fans farewell. Each member ended up becoming increasingly active on their personal social media accounts to create comfort for grieving fans.

2024: Joining Space Entertainment[]

On December 1st 2024 it was announced that they had officially joined a new company named Space Entertainment. It is currently unknown whether they will rebrand or stay as a group due to only having three of the six members currently active.

2025[]

On February 12 2025 it was announced that they had created their very first subunit named Antennae which consists of members Aseul, Park Hyun and Jangmi.
