Miao Junyi is a Chinese singer, actress and model. She made her acting and singing debut in 2017.
Career[]
Junyi started as a model at the age of 4. Her parents wanted her to be less shy so they sent her photos to a modelling agency. The agency accepted her and she made her modelling debut for a childrens' clothes line. Surprisingly, the young Junyi LOVED being in front of the camera. (She just thought the clothes were pretty.)
Junyi stopped modelling 2 years afterwards when she started primary education. However, during this period she took up singing and dancing lessons. She actively competed in regional and singing competitions and took home award after award.
When she was 12, she participated in her school's musical and was casted by a talent scout to act in a small movie production and sing the OST for it. She had to take wushu lessons to act the role. She really wanted the role, so she learned wushu from the instructor on set for it for a month. The training was challenging and exhausting, but her determination and hard work paid off. Her acting debut was eyecatching and she got more casting offers after that. Up till 2024, she has acted in 3 movies and 6 dramas.
In 2025, she released the teenage breakup song "Be Apart" . The song went viral immediately in China and also gained some traction overseas via a cover. Junyi has stayed mostly under the radar until Asiavision 2025.
