MIRAGE (Korean: 미라지; Chinese: 海市蜃楼; Japanese: ミラージュ) is a thirteen-member South Korean-based multinational boy group under MYLAB. Formed by survival show Global Ticket, they made their debut on February 29, 2024 with studio album Youth Bloom.
The members are from South Korea, United States, Japan, Thailand and China.
History[]
Pre-debut[]
- Members Lee Soo, Min Gyu, Jin Woo and Se Jun auditioned for Boys Planet but had failed to pass.
- Lee Soo is also a former YG Entertainment trainee.
- Rio is a former HYBE Labels Japan trainee.
- Members Patrick and Nikita are former SM Entertainment trainees.
- Members Kai and Jackson are former JYP Entertainment trainees. They also participated in Boys' Global School but got eliminated during the final episode.
On August 26, 2023, during the final episode of survival show Global Ticket the final 12 contestants were announced. Jay was ranked 1st place, obtaining a leader position and a solo song on their debut album. followed Lee Soo in second, obtaining a center position and a solo song on the group's debut album. He was followed by Jackson ranking third, Rio ranking fourth, Kai ranking fifth, Min Gyu ranking sixth, Se Jun ranking seventh, Ollie ranking eighth, Jin Woo ranking ninth, Nikita ranking tenth, Patrick ranking eleventh and Eun Hyung ranking twelfth. Later during the finale, it was announced that one more member, chosen by the final 24, mentors, and fans will join the group. By the public global vote, Lumin was added to MIRAGE. In addition, he was awarded with a chance for recording a solo song for the group's debut album by both members and fans due to his popularity among them.
Following the finale, the group's official SNS accounts were opened.
On September 26, MYLAB stated that MIRAGE is starting their debut preparations and are planning for a late-2023 or early-2024 debut.
On October 1, during their Instagram live, the group announced their fandom name, FANTASY. On October 8, it was revealed that the group is filming a reality show for their debut process.
On October 15, MYLAB confirmed that the group is preparing to make their debut sometime in January 2024. Prior to it, MIRAGE will release the group version of Global Ticket's theme song "Our Journey", and 2 other songs titled "What's Your Name?" and "GRATATA" as their pre-release singles on December 9, 2023, December 26, 2023, and January 6, 2024, respectively.
2024-present: Debut with Youth Bloom, Nikita's hiatus, Good Crash, When We Locked Eyes[]
On December 3, 2023, MYLAB announced that the group will debut on January 29, 2024 with the studio album Youth Bloom. In addition, the agency stated that the group will have 2 comebacks following the debut release. On January 2, it was announced that the debut would be postponed to February 29, as the album had encountered producing issues while recording.[1][2]
On April 1, it was announced that the group will make their first comeback on April 28, 2024, with the mini album Good Crash. Additionally, due to Nikita's participation on Boys Class of Wonder 2, it was announced that he will not participate in the album promotions nor recordings.[3][4]

MIRAGE LAB PROJECT[]
MIRAGE LAB PROJECT is a project that allows MIRAGE members to release solo tracks, self-composed titles and unit tracks. Some of the tracks will be included in the group's releases. The project was announced on August 26, 2023 during the finale of Global Ticket. It will kick off on December 16, 2023 with its first three releases Jay, Lee Soo and Lumin.
