Lyubov Nicole Melani Angeloff, also known by her stage name Lyubov Mel (Hangul: 류보프 멜), or commonly referred to as Lyubov, is a Ukrainian-American singer and actress under Fashion Enterprises Entertainment. She is the leader of the co-ed group IMPGS and is also a member of their sub-unit IMPGS Tap.

She made her solo debut on September 29, 2023 with "Like Water".

Life and Career[]

Lyubov Nicole Melani Angeloff was born on May 5, 2004 at Memorial Medical Center (now Ochsner Baptist Medical Center) in New Orleans, Louisiana, United States to Emilie Fazio (b. October 1, 1980), an Italian-American broadway actress of Sicilian ancestry from Brooklyn, New York, and Viacheslav Angeloff (b. January 14, 1976), a Ukrainian chef from Odesa who was born in the Soviet Union. Her maternal family roots originate from Gangi, Italy. Her mother is also of Greek and Algerian descent. Her father moved to the states back in 1999 along with his family, and met her mother on a blind date. She is a duel national of the United States and Ukraine. She is the oldest of 3 siblings, as she has 1 younger sister named Cosette (b. September 13, 2007) and 1 younger brother named Daniel (b. April 9, 2010).

In August of 2005, when she was still a baby, she and her family moved to Lviv, Ukraine, due to Hurricane Katrina, which affected her home region. Her first language was Ukrainian, and struggled with English at first, adding that she considers herself "half Ukrainian and half from Louisiana. I wish I could say that I'm 100% Ukrainian; I always felt like that." She also briefly lived in Russia for a little bit. At age 2, in May 2006, she and her family moved back to New Orleans, where she was mostly raised in the Garden District of the city. She was raised in a gallery-house. During summer vacation, she and her family would often travel to Biloxi, Mississippi. Growing up, she never had interest in music at first, she had more interest in movies. After watching various tv shows as a kid, she always wanted to be an actress, however, her parents denied it because they wanted her to focus on her studies. During her childhood, while in school, she used in be in the volleyball team until she decided to quit only after 5 months due to a severe leg injury. After leaving her volleyball team, she decided to be a cheerleader at her school. However, after 4 years of being a cheerleader, she decided to quit again. She was often kicked out of her school classroom for "being too loud towards and distracting" her classmates, as well as due to hyperactivity. Later, Lyubov worked as a member of a local school band as a lead vocalist. In July 2019, she was scouted by Fashion Enterprises at the mall while shopping with her friends. She auditioned for the company as a rapper, and later got accepted as a trainee. After that, she decided to sign under the American subsidiary. Known for her talented abilities, she was originally going to be apart of the American girl group TIGERDOLLS, however she was later cut from the line-up not long before their debut for "being too young for the group’s concept". After leaving the lineup, she discovered k-pop groups during her free-time, and learned the Korean language, as well as improving her vocal skills and changed her musical career plan from a rapper to a singer. In October 2020, When she first arrived in Korea, she cried most of the time everyday because she didn't knew the language, and also experienced cultural shock, which later she recovered from it. She attended School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA).

2020-present: Find Your Game, IMPGS, Solo Debut[]

In July 2020, she was announced as a contestant in the survival show Find Your Game, which at the final episode, she was apart of the Top TBA, making her able to debut with IMPGS. In November 16, 2020, the group debuted with "La Vie en Rose".

On April 27, 2023, it was announced that she will make her solo debut, set to release in September 2023.

On September 30, 2023, she made her solo debut with Like Water.

2024: Asiavision Song Contest[]

On September 1, 2024, it was announced that she would represent Ukraine in Asiavision Song Contest 2024. A week later, On September 9, 2024, her entry "Tears of Gold", was released. In the final, She placed 6th place overall.

Personal Life[]

At age 5, she was diagnosed with ADHD.

Lyubov currently lives in IMPGS' dorm in Mapo-gu, meanwhile her family lives in a mansion in Gangnam-gu. In 2023, she came out as Bisexual.

She graduated from School of Performing Arts Seoul (SOPA) in 2023.
