Lilya (Korean: 릴랴; Japanese: リリャ), also known by her birth name, Yang Eui-kyung (양의경), is a South Korean model, singer, and dancer currently under LoveRail Entertainment. She's a member of the girl group DKDK.
She is a former member of the girl groups Whimsy and Valkyrie.
Early life[]
Lilya was born was Yang Eui-kyung on October 1, 2003, in Seoul, South Korea, To two Korean parents. As the youngest of three siblings, she spent most of her childhood heavily looking up to her older siblings.
Career[]
2018–2021: Debut with Valkyrie, leaving the group[]
On June 12, Lilya was revealed as the fourth member of HQ Entertainment's newest girl group, Valkyrie. She made her official debut with the group on July 24, 2018.
In 2020, HQ announced her departure from the group, refusing to issue a proper statement at the time. After going quiet for several months, Lilya then revealed that she had joined a smaller, less-known label, LILAC Studios, simply to have a starting point in her modelling career. She later revealed that her departure from Valkyrie was due to her personally feeling disconnected from music and due to a mismatch in creative opinions between her and the company.
2023-2024: Carnival, Whimsy[]
On March 30, 2023, she was confirmed to be a contestant on the survival program, Carnival. Throughout the show, she was recognized for her powerful dancing and seasoned vocals. On September 19, 2023, in the show's final episode, it was announced that she placed 3rd overall, earning her a position in the final group Whimsy.
On November 4, 2023, she debuted in Whimsy with the mini album Whimsy Land.
Whimsy officially disbanded on September 19, 2024. Shortly after the group's disbandment, Lilya departed from LILAC Studios. Her departure left many fans to question if she would ever return to the music industry at all.
2025: DKDK[]
On June 4, 2025, she was announced to be a new member of LoveRail Entertainment's pre-existing girl group DKDK,
Personality[]
Briefly put, Lilya is a very warm and enthusiastic person. During her time as a member of Valkyrie, fans noticed her good communication skills and witty comments. She's the type to always be interested in what's happening around her or with the people around her but understands if she's told she's being nosey. Although she is overtly seeking approval by those around her, she gets distracted quite easily which makes it hard for her to commit to things that can give her approval.
