Liam Chanbit Dahl (리암 찬빛 달) known mononymously as Liam, is an Norwegian-Korean trainee. He was born and raised in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway.
On May 18, 2025, Liam was announced to be a participant on CBC's survival program STAR RAIL.
On July 6, 2025, Liam was announced as a part of LoveRail Rookies.
Early Life[]
Liam Chanbit Dahl was born on May 8, 2005, in Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway, to a Norwegian father and a South Korean mother. He was raised in a bilingual household and exposed to both Norwegian and Korean cultures.
Liam developed an interest in hip-hop and rap during his early teens. He began writing lyrics and practicing freestyle rap while attending middle school. In addition to rap, he took dance and vocal lessons to prepare for a career in music.
He later began uploading rap covers and original tracks to social media platforms, which contributed to his early exposure. On February 16, 2025, Dahl signed with LoveRail Entertainment as a trainee.
Career[]
2021-2024: High school and russ[]
Liam started high school in 2021. He got attention for being interested in music and for his rap covers, gaining him many requests to make songs for "russegrupper", a group of people that get together to celebrate graduation in Norway. He proceeded to release songs for russegrupper with his rap on top of it for money.
In 2nd year of high school, Liam joined his own "russegruppe" (russ group) named Murakami (often abbreviated to MU). He and a group of friends bought a buss together and customized it to their group, alongside making a bunch of merch for their group, ranging from shirts, pants, stickers, jackets, hoodies and more, typical for russ groups.
The russ group went viral in Norway for the huge amount of marketing, with billboards and everything around the whole country due to some of the members being the sons of multimillionaires. Most of this comes from the big oil industry in Stavanger.
Their "hjemmesnekk", with the name "Murakami 2024 (Hjemmesnekk)" ranked #1 on the Top 50 Norway charts for 3 months straight on Spotify.
2025-present: Trainee life, participating in STAR RAIL and LoveRail Rookies[]
On February 16, 2025, Liam Chanbit Dahl signed an exclusive trainee contract with LoveRail Entertainment, marking the beginning of his career in the South Korean entertainment industry.
On May 18, 2025, Liam was announced to be a participant on CBC's survival program STAR RAIL.
On July 6, 2025, Liam was announced as a part of LoveRail Rookies.
