History[]

2020: Formation, Debut, The Occurrence:1 Era[]

In September 2020, Solaria Media announced that they would be debuting a boy group in November 2020. The company had not debuted any artists yet, so fans were curious to see what the group would be like. Due to Solaria Media keeping their trainees very private, the public did not of any of their trainees yet. Still, there was excitement towards the group.
In October, the members were revealed one at a time in age order, with a different member every day for twelve days. The group immediately began gaining traction for their visuals. As soon as their SNS accounts opened, followers flooded in. The members were surprised, happily, at the amount of people curious about the group. Their futuristic concept was nothing new, but something about it seemed to draw a lot of people in. Three different MV teasers were released, each reaching at least 500,000 views on YouTube one day after their release.
LiGHTSPEED debuted on November 7th with the studio album The Occurrence:1. The title track, LiGHTSPEED(Into Ya), was a fresh and exciting EDM song, filled with futuristic sounds and dance beats. As a result of their hype, LiGHTSPEED got their first win on The Core Music Show.
The album cover for The Occurrence:1 was nominated for the K-On! Album Cover Awards 2020. Taeseok was nominated for The Cutest Maknae Contest 2020.
On December 26th, LiGHTSPEED performed at the K-Super Gayo Daejeon. Bingwen performed in a cover of Hellevator by Stray Kids.

2021: The Occurrence:2 Era, The Occurrence:3 Era[]

On February 7th, LiGHTSPEED released their first comeback, the mini-album The Occurrence:2. The first title track, PURPLE LIGHT, continued their futuristic concept, with a hint of retro pop. The song managed to rank 2nd on TOP ICON, a huge rise from their debut. The second title track, Nuisance, was more general public friendly, but still was EDM. It grabbed LiGHTSPEED their first win on Hallyumak on the day of its release. Their second win, this time for PURPLE LIGHT, was on The Core Music Show on February 12th. This was followed by their third win on Smile Groove Music Show. A fourth win was gotten on The Core Music Show also.
On May 12th, LiGHTSPEED released their second comeback, the mini-album The Occurrence:3. The title track, Hyper speed, advanced their futuristic concept by adding more dance elements to it. The group won on TOP ICON and The Core Music Show, and reached 3rd on KTB Music Show.
Throughout the rest of the year, LiGHTSPEED did various events and performed at avrious festivals. They did not release any more comebacks in the year, which fans were not happy with.
At the Seoul Music Performance Awards, LiGHTSPEED was nominated for the Best Male Group award.

2022: Acknowledge:Envy Era, Acknowledge:Hatred Era[]

On March 14th, LiGHTSPEED released their third comeback, the studio album Acknowledge:Envy. The title track, IVY LEAGUE, lessened the harsh EDM that the group is known for, while keeping the futuristic and dance style the fans love. They got wins on KTB Music Show and Hallyumak.
On November 18th, LiGHTSPEED released their fourth comeback, the mini-album Acknowledge:Hatred. The title track, Darkest Desire (In My Head), brought a dark side to LiGHTSPEED's music. They won two weeks in a row on The Core Music Show.

Concept[]

LiGHTSPEED's concept is a very futuristic concept. The concept was shown very much during the teasing for their debut, the concept photos especially, in the 3rd mv teaser it was shown very in the sense where the boys walked the a gate into the futuristic world.

Etymology[]

The reason their name is LiGHTSPEED is because of how they desire to be the next big group in the future and do it in the fastest way possible, going LiGHTSPEED. And also how they want run LiGHTSPEED into their fans heart so they can capture their charms.

Fandom Name[]

The fandom name iSpeed was chosen by the members themselves. The name means that each fan is a unqiue individual while also supporting the group.
