Kwon Sejun (권세준; or simply Sejun) is a Korean-Japanese trainee, content creator, influencer, and model under KaiON.
He's best known for being a contestant on the survival show program Find Your DREAM.
Early Life[]
Born in Osaka, Japan, and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Sejun was born to a Korean father and Japanese mother. From a young age, Sejun had a natural curiosity and an outgoing personality, which made him popular among his peers. His love for the spotlight became apparent early on, however, it wasn’t until his teenage years that he discovered his passion for creating content.
At the age of 15, Sejun launched his YouTube channel, with his first video being a cover of Mariya Takeuchi's Plastic Love. It surprisingly did well, with many comments commenting how surprised they were that such a young kid could have such a beautifully developed vocal tone. , Sejun uploaded his next video, under the premise of doing something he particularly found interest in- book reviews. Unfortunately, this was not met with the same reception as his singing, which a few comments demanding he just keep singing and singing only. Whether by ignoring them or out of spite, Sejun continued to upload content he personally enjoyed, being book reviews and "celebrity" talk shows. Eventually, he was able to find his niche, with his content quickly gained traction due to his relatable humor, engaging storytelling, and charismatic personality. As his subscriber count grew, so did his influence, and he soon became a very well-known household content creators on the platform and a prominent figure in the online community.
Sejun’s success as a YouTuber opened many doors for him, including sponsorship deals, and collaborations with other creators. Despite his growing fame, Sejun remained humble and focused on improving his craft. As his channel continued to thrive, Sejun began to explore the idea of transitioning into a career in music. Inspired by the success of K-pop idols he admired, he started to take singing and dancing more seriously, dedicating hours each day to training.
In late 2022, Sejun temporarily paused his YouTube channel job in order to begin his formal and pursue his dream of becoming a K-pop idol. He auditioned for KaiON and was accepted as a trainee. The shift from content creator to trainee was not without its difficulties. Sejun had to adapt to the rigorous training schedule and the intense competition among the other trainees, many of whom had been preparing for years.
Fortunately, even within training Sejun seemed to be in his element; his experience in front of the camera making him comfortable in the spotlight, and his ability to connect with an audience being unparallelable. He quickly became a standout trainee at KaiON, known for his stage presence and infectious energy. His popularity among fans only grew as they followed his journey from YouTuber to trainee, eagerly anticipating his next move.
Career[]
On June 23, 2024, Kwon Sejun was announced as a contestant on Find Your DREAM, a highly anticipated survival show that aimed to create the next big K-pop boy group. Unfortunately his team, ElementalS, was eliminated after the second nightmare elimination. The team ranked 4th overall, with Sejun ranking around 42nd individually.
Personality[]
A cheerfully respectful young man. Sejun grew his channel from his comforting presence as a book reviewer online, and his natural charm and quick-wit has led him to his extremely popular personality. He's naturally charismatic and finds making friends to be easy. A common habit of his is hugging people he's close to. While not necessarily clingy, he does enjoy physical touch and skinship, especially from those he feels a strong connection from.

- Joining the company a few years after Taeshin, Sejun found an unlikely friend in him within the trainee program. Despite initially clashing, with Sejun being slightly more reserved and humble, contrasting the overconfident and borderline cocky attitude of Taeshin, the duo managed to mesh well together in a way that had even surprised the other trainees within the department. Their relationship can best be explained as older brother with a soft spot and younger brother with a big heart.
