Kwak Young-mi (곽영미) also known by her stage name, Kwak Youngmi is a South Korean singer-songwriter and top-liner under PARAGON Entertainment. She debuted on March 18, 2024 with the mini album, Silhouette.
Early Life[]
Kwak Young-mi, born on June 15, 1997, in Incheon, South Korea, grew up with her family — a father, a mother, and a younger sister born in 2000. She found her love for music early on, and at the age of 9, she started singing and playing the piano. She also took dance lessons at the age of 14.

2020-2022[]
Indie Endeavors[]
At 23 in 2020, Kwak Young-mi started her indie music journey. On December 6, she released her first single, named Gentle. She released her second single, named 난 차라리 여기 머물고 싶어 (I'd Rather Stay Here) on October 21, 2021. She released her first EP, titled LADY on July 8, 2022.
Songwriting Start[]
Kwak Young-mi's debut as a songwriter was Holiday by VIVACE in the EP, Seaside Dance.
2023[]
Songwriting and Top-lining[]
In 2023, Kwak Young-mi not only wrote but also provided top-line vocals for four tracks. For EunByul's album 'In Dreams,' she wrote "Merry Go Round" and "Nocturne." In GNX's 'Blended Memories,' Young-mi wrote "HUSH." She also wrote and top-lined the title track, "Sweet Illusion," for LUCIDAE's album 'Illusion.'
Joining PARAGON Entertainment[]
In October 2023, Kwak Young-mi joined PARAGON Entertainment as a top-liner and to formally debut as a soloist.
2024[]
Formal Debut - Silhouette[]
Kwak Youngmi debuted on March 18 with the mini album, Silhouette led by the single, "Avant-garde". On the day of its release, the mini album sold more than 16,000 copies. In the following week, it sold 9,000 more copies. The MV for "Avant-garde", reached about 1.2 million views in 24 hours.
