Kim Wonbin (김원빈), or simply Wonbin, is a South Korean trainee under Big Planet Creative.
Personal life[]
Wonbin was born on March 02, 2000 in the heart of Seoul, South Korea. He always had a passion for dancing as he would be dancing along to songs that would come onto the radio. He graduated from SOPA (School Of Performing Arts Seoul) in practical dance.
Career[]
2019–2020: SM Entertainment Audition, Vocal Training and Dance Academy[]
Throughout his teen years, his parents forbidden him from auditioning to K-Pop companies until he graduated. After his graduation in 2019, he decided to audition for SM Entertainment. After finishing his audition, the staff gave him some very negative feedback and said that his dancing was "sloppy" and "uncoordinated". They also stated that his vocals were good but didn't fit their standards. He ultimately failed the audition which made him loose a ton of confidence.
Due to the negative criticism, he fell into a deep depression and felt like he wasn't good enough. He felt like his entire world had been crushed and there was nothing he could do to piece it back together. After a few months, his friend-who is apart of a dance team, encouraged him to attend his showcase to cheer on his team. He agreed as it may be good for him to finally get out of the house. While watching the performances he started to regain interest in what he loved to do the most, dancing.

On January 28, 2023, Wonbin was revealed as a contestant on the upcoming survival show, Road to ZERO alongside Choi Minwoo as well as Yang Seungmin and Kim Wonhyun who were also revealed on the same day.
