Jinae (진애), also known by her full name Kang Ji Nae (강지애), is a South Korean singer and actress under Coloring Entertainment. She is a member of the upcoming girl group ITS and a former member of Crystal Moon.
Career[]
Pre-debut[]
Before debuting as an actress she released dance and vocal covers thru her Youtube channel from 2010 to 2018, one of her most popular dance cover was the Dance The Night Away by TWICE she uploaded it on July 27, 2018 and as of 2022 the video has 2,010,121 views. She also has a viral vocal cover where she covered Palette by IU she uploaded it on August 10, 2018 and as of 2022 the video has 4,530,890 views.
2019: Acting Debut and Be Melodramatic[]
On January 9, 2019, Blossom District released her profile on their website under the actress category later she confirmed thru her social media that she will be debuting in the acting industry soon.
On February 8, Jinae starred in the legal drama Legal High, a remake of the Japanese television series of the same name. It aired on JTBC from February 8 to March 30, 2019.
On June 26, she was announced to be starring in JTBC's upcoming romantic comedy drama Be Melodramatic. It aired on cable network JTBC on Fridays and Saturdays at 20:30 (KST) from August 9 to September 28, 2019.
2020: When the Weather is Fine, Kairos[]
In 2020, she starred in the JTBC romance drama When the Weather Is Fine alongside Seo Kang-joon, it aired on JTBC from February 24 to April 21, 2020.
On September 30, she was revealed to be part of the main cast of JTBC's upcoming drama Kairos where she played Han Ae-ri. It premiered on MBC TV on October 26 to December 22, 2020 and aired every Monday and Tuesday at 21:20 (KST).
2021: Nevertheless, Yumi's Cells, The World Of My 17 Season 2[]
On May 31, 2021, she was announced to be in the cast of Nevertheless. It aired on JTBC's Saturdays at 23:00 (KST) time slot from June 19 to August 21, 2021. Each episode was released on Netflix in South Korea and internationally after its television broadcast.
On September 17, she starred in the Psychological and romantic drama Yumi's Cells where she played the Love Cell and Hong Na-Ri. The series premiered on tvN on September 17, 2021 and aired every Friday and Saturday at 22:50 (KST). It was also released simultaneously on both online streaming services TVING and iQIYI
On December 15, she starred in the second season of the web series The World of My 17 she played Seo Mi Rae. The show aired from Dec 15, 2021 to Jan 14, 2022 in every Wednesday and Friday on Naver TV Cast.
2022, 2023: To may, Crystal Moon, ITS[]
On January 2, 2022, Blossom District announced that Jinae would release a special song to her fans called "To may." and also stating her official fanclub name "may.". The song was released on January 10, 2022 as her first special single.
On January 25, 2022, she was revealed as the first member of Crystal Moon. The group will debut on March 10, 2022. Sometime in December, the group had disbanded, and Jinae left the company.
Sometime in January 2023, it was reported her and former Crystal Moon member Hyunju would be re-debuting in ITS.
