Jin Hyun-ah (진현아), or simply Hyunah (현아), is a Korean-American opera singer under Highline Media. She is the main vocalist, face of the group, and the maknae of the group BEAUDENT.

She made her solo debut on September 20, 2023, with the single album "Familiarity".

Career

Early Life

Jin was born in Daehakno, Seoul, South Korea, to a Korean mother (Jin Yoojin) and a American father (Oliver Hadville). Her mother is a opera singer, and her father is a Soccer player. Of course, there has come a point in her life, where her parents asked her what job she wanted. Jin screamed, "Opera singer!!!" which, of course, made her mother happy. So, at age 12, she started taking opera lessons.

During this time, she had released a song titled, "당신이 내 목소리를 듣는 사람이라면."

At age 14, she started wanting to become an actual idol, after 7 years of opera lessons. She auditioned for a bunch of companies, mainly PY, SM, JYP, and more. PY was the first to call her, telling her she passed. She then started to pack her bags, and leave her home for her dream. She trained for 3 years.

Opera

Jin had always heard her mom sing opera songs, like every day. She was always ear-blessed whenever she heard her lovely voice. This sparks a flame in her heart: the flame resembled her passion and determination. As soon as she was age 12, she started opera classes.

During her 2nd year of opera lessons, she suddenly found a passion for K-POP. While she never wanted to do K-POP, as she was a opera singer in training, she decided to give up on her opera dreams, and start pursuing a K-POP career.

2017-present - Debut with BEAUDENT, solo debut, "lilybloom"

She was revealed as a member of BEAUDENT in December of 2017.

She debuted with them on May 1, 2022, with the studio album, The Beau&Dent, Chapter 1 as their main vocalist and the maknae. Her representative color is Green.

On September 17, 2023, it was announced that she would be debuting as a soloist on September 20, with her first single album "Familiarity".

On March 14, 2024, a notice was posted on all of BEAUDENT's social media accounts confirming that Hyunah will release her second single album "lilybloom" on March 18.

Sometime in September, it was reported that Hyunah was preparing to release a new album sometime in October. Highline Media later confirmed the news, and stated that she was in the final stages of preparing her first studio album. On October 2, 2024, Highline Media announced that Hyunah will release her first studio album i bought some flowers on October 7. The album is expected to feature multiple artists.

Personality

Like a ball of sunshine filled with kindness and hope, Jin is a very sociable person. If you asked about her to any one of her close friends, they would describe her as, "Someone who makes their sad days go away." Jin is also a humorous person, having making a lot of jokes.

Overall, she is what people would call, "A perfect friend".
