Jiana (Korean: 지아나; Japanese: ジアナ) is a South Korean singer under YW Entertainment. She is a member of the girl group DKDK.
Early life[]
Jiana, born Ji A-na, on May 27, 2009, in Incheon, South Korea, grew up in a supportive family environment with her father working as an elementary school teacher, her stay-at-home mother, and her younger brother, Ji Min, born in 2013, adding to the lively and close-knit atmosphere at home.
From an early age, Jiana displayed a passion for dance. Her fascination with movement began when she was just three years old, captivating her family with her natural skills. Recognizing her talent, her parents enrolled her in a local dance academy, where she quickly excelled. By the time she was seven, Jiana was already participating in local dance competitions and earning praise for her impressive performances.
Alongside her dance training, Jiana maintained good grades, demonstrating her ability to balance difficult training with schoolwork. Her admiration for K-pop idols and their vibrant performances further fueled her passion to enter the entertainment industry.
At thirteen, Jiana’s exceptional talent and stage presence caught the attention of scouts from YR Entertainment. She auditioned successfully and joined the agency as an idol trainee.
Career[]
2023-Present: YR Girls, Dingle Dangle, YR Girls, Debut with DKDK, WORLD CLASS[]
On December 12, 2023, Jiana was revealed to be a part of YR Girls.
On January 30, 2024, Jiana was revealed to be a contestant on 2024 survival program Dingle Dangle. She was eliminated, ranking 28th.
On March 1, 2024, it was announced that Jiana would be transferred to YW Entertainment.
On April 23, 2024, YW Entertainment announced that she would be joining DKDK alongside Haeun and Evalina.
On August 18, 2024, Jiana was announced to be participating in the idol survival program, WORLD CLASS, as a part of the K-Class. She was eliminated on November 2, 2024 in the 2nd eliminations, ranking 27th overall.
2025: Leaving YW Entertainment[]
On April 22, 2025, Evalina and the other members of DKDK successfully terminated their contracts with YW Entertainment. They will continue as a group under LoveRail Entertainment.
