Jaekyung (재경) is a South Korean model and former professional football player under YR Entertainment.
Early Life[]
Jaekyung was born as Joo Jae-kyung in Seoul, South Korea. He described his childhood as very active. Jaekyung stated that he was the captain of his high school's football team, which resulted in him being scouted by South Korea's national football team after graduating high school.
Career[]
2012-2022: Football career, Enlistment[]
Jaekyung made his senior debut for South Korea as a striker on June 17, 2014, in a World Cup qualifier against Russia.
In 2015, Jaekyung decided to serve his mandated military service to get it out of the way, he returned to his team FC Seoul in 2017.
After completing his mandated military service, he went on to compete in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups as a member of the South Korea national team.
On December 27, 2022, Jaekyung announced that he would be forced to retire due to an injury he got while playing in Doha, Qatar.
2023-present: Modeling, Find Your DREAM[]
In mid-2023, Jaekyung announced that his recovery had been going well and that he had decided to pursue another dream of his, modeling, under YR Entertainment.
On June 20, 2024, it was announced that he would be appearing on the survival program, Find Your DREAM. He was eliminated on September 29.
