Jade Kim (제이드 김) is a Korean-American singer-songwriter and composer currently under GENESIS™. She is a former member of the girl group Galaxia.
She made her Solo debut on the 24th of May, 2024 with the Mini-Album 'I SMILE'.
Early life[]
Trainee period[]
Jade Kim trained for a total of 2 years under Circle Entertainment and a further 1 year under Ivory Entertainment Group & GENESIS™.
Career[]
2020: Signing with with Circle Entertainment.[]
Jade joined Circle Entertainment in 2020 after being scouted in the mall, she begged and begged her parents for a while until they finally allowed her to move to Seoul to begin her training.
2022: Debut with Galaxia.[]
On the 1st of March, Kim Yeojun debuted in the girl group Galaxia, with the stage name 'Jade', she debuted as the Center, Main Dancer and Lead Rapper of the group.
2023: Galaxia disbandment, leaving Circle Entertainment, signing with Ivory Entertainment Group, contract dismissal, signing with GENESIS™.[]
On the 30th of March it was announced that Galaxia had disbanded and all four members, including Jade, had decided to leave Circle Entertainment.
On the 22nd of April, 2023, it was announced that Jade Kim had signed underneath Ivory Entertainment Group. On the 10th of August, it was announced that Jade would be unable to debut as a soloist underneath the company, therefore her contract was dismissed.
On the 15th of August, it was announced that Jade Kim had signed underneath GENESIS™, with a 7-year contract as a solo artist.
2024: Solo Debut with I SMILE, comeback with NAKED[]
On the 12th of May, it was announced that Jade Kim would be debuting as a soloist underneath GENESIS™ with the mini-album 'I SMILE'. On the 16th of May the release schedule was released and it was announced that she the debut mini-album would be released on the 24th of May.
On the 30th of September, it was announced that Jade Kim would be having a comeback, and on the 2nd of October it was revealed that this comeback would be titled 'NAKED'.
