JUNSUN (전선) also known by her real name Jeon Sunmi (전선미) is a South Korean model, actress and singer under MAKE Entertainment. She is best known for being a contestant on the survival show Awakening: Rebirth of Stars and a former member of the trainee team MYG World.
She made her solo debut on October 16, 2023 with her first single album "Take a Picture".
History[]
2018-2021: MYG World.[]
on August 3, 2018, 5 new trainees were revealed on the newest program from MyWorld Entertainment, MYG World, an all-female trainee team that would showcase their skills prior to their debut. The first five to be revealed were Seo Jiheon, Jeon Sunmi, Kim Eunha, Tanaka Yui and Wang Shenhe.
2022-Present: New Career, Awakening, Solo Debut[]
On July 6, 2022, MyWorld Entertainment announced that Jeon Sunmi has signed an exclusive contract with the company to promote as an actress and a possible future soloist. Her profile was removed from MYG World and was put on the models category.
On March 30, 2023, She, alongside 32 other trainees, was revealed as a contestant on the survival-reality show Awakening: Rebirth of Stars. A survival show focused on debuting a girl group that would become a global sensation. On July 7, 2023, in the finale, Sunmi ranked 11th overall, barely being eliminated from the lineup of ipromis.
Two weeks after the show, on July 21, 2023, MyWorld Entertainment announced that Jeon Sunmi would be making her solo debut which is scheduled for October of this year with her first single album. She would use the stage name JUNSUN from now on.
On September 22, 2023, MyWorld Entertainment revealed that JUNSUN would be making her awaited solo debut on October 16, 2023, with her first single album "Take a Picture".
On August 21, 2024, MAKE Entertainment announced that JUNSUN would make her first comeback with her second single album Brainstorm. The single would be released on September 9, 2024.
On September 2, 2024 Netflix Korea revealed that Jeon Seonmi would be joining School Attack on Season 2 onwards.
