Im Yoon-Ah (Korean: 임윤아; born May 16, 1993), also known by her stage name IO (Korean: 이오), is a South Korean singer-songwriter, record producer and actress. She signed with HYPE Labels in 2010. She made her debut with her first mini album Viola in March of 2018.

Early life[]

IO decided to decided to become a singer when she was 13 after singing at her school's shows, as she felt happy receiving the audiences' applause. She started to attended auditions and failed 10 but finally got accepted by HYPE Labels. She later made her debut after 8 years of training in 2018 with her first mini album Viola.

Career[]

2018: Debut with Viola[]

On March 12, 2018, IO released her debut mini album "Viola" and its lead single of the same name. IO got her first music show win on Inkigayo with "Viola" on March 18.
