Iberis (아이베리스; also stylized as IBERIS) is an 8-members girl group under TUFT. They made their debut on October 2, 2023 with their first mini album Good Vibes Only.
History[]
Pre-Debut:[]
On January 9, 2023, four trainees of Prime Labels were revealed to be participants on the survival show Girls' Fantasy. That same day Prime Labels opened the official SNS accounts for their trainees under the tentative name BISCUIT. The four trainees revealed: Kwon Yeojun, Kim Taeram, Moon Dayeon and Kim Heeseo we're uploaded all across social medias. The company stated that after the immersive success of ISTAY, they have been working on a little-sister girl group for a while that aims to debut in the near future, the company also noted that nothing is final and to look out for the girls who are part of the show and support them after.
On January 16, 2023, Prime Labels revealed Jeong Ahseung to be their newest trainee for the female trainee group BISCUIT. Ahseung put a public statement that while acting she was still a trainee and was trying to achieve the dream of debuting on a girl group, she is known for having stable and good vocals.
That same day BISCUIT's SNS accounts gained numerous amount of followers and even was trending on Twitter.
On February 1, 2023, The agency revealed their plans for 2023-2024 which included two new acts to debut, a new girl group on 2023 and their first boy group to debut on 2024.
On March 31, 2023, an insider leak published by DisKover revealed that Prime Labels's newest girl group would be going by the name Iberis. On April 11, 2023, Prime Labels changed BISCUIT's SNS accounts names to Iberis, confirming the group name and they uploaded the logo motion across their SNS accounts.
Debut:[]
On May 1, 2023, the first member, Shan Kaeun was revealed, followed by Minah on May 2, June on May 3, Taeram on May 4, Dayeon on May 5, Ahseung on May 6, Jaeeun on May 7 and the final member SiU on May 8. The group picture.
On May 19, 2023, Iberis uploaded their first content on YouTube channel, a dance cover for "I Can See The Future" by Tinashe, featuring members Minah, June, Taeram, Ahseung and Jaeeun.
On June 30, 2023, a teaser cited as "coming soon" was posted across social medias, the teaser included the group's debut date with their first mini album sometime on September, the highlighted name 'PENINSULA' was confirmed to not be the name of the album but part of the Iberis lore which would be revealed sometime in the future.
On August 8, 2023, Prime Labels announced that Iberis would have their own webtoon titled "PENINSULA: Pistil of Harmony", the agency announced that the webtoon would be released sometime after the debut of the group that is scheduled for September.
On September 12, 2023, Prime Labels revealed that Iberis would make their awaited debut on October 2, 2023, with their first mini album Good Vibes Only.
2023-Present: Siu's hiatus, addition of Doyee, Siu's departure.[]
On November 23, 2023, Prime Labels announced that SiU would be going on indefinite hiatus for personal reasons, the group would continue as a 7-piece for the time being. Shortly after the announcement the agency introduced a new member, Doyee, whom previously was a member of the girl group WONDERONE.
On February 13, 2024, Prime Labels announced that SiU has departed from the group and the agency for personal reasoning. The agency revealed that Iberis would continue the promotions as they were before.
On May 8, 2024, Prime Labels announced that Iberis will make their first comeback on June 3. 2024, with their second mini album I be rise. It is the first release since Doyee joined the group.
On November 29, 2024, Prime Labels announced that Iberis would be making a comeback with their third mini album "Snowy Rendezvous". The mini would be released on December 23, 2024.
On January 13, 2025, Prime Labels announced that they've created a subsidiary-like production team for Iberis that will manage the group under the name TUFT. The group is still considered a Prime Labels group but it'll work under TUFT.
