IRON is a South Korean based boy group formerly under DISCOVER ENT and currently under Touch Entertainment they have four members, IRON debuted with the full album "IRON:The beginning" and the title track "POW".

History[]

2017[]

IRON officially debuted on the 26th of February 2017 with full length album ‘IRON: The beginning’ and the lead single ‘POW’. The group debuted to mixed responses with their experimental noise music style which ultimately led them to fail on the charts.

Despite the backlash, IRON continued their experimental sound with their 1st mini album ‘IRON: The Second Step’ on the 19th of August 2017. The album was heavy criticised with some netizens calling it unbearable to listen to. As a result the group suffered with low album and being absent from charts.

2018[]

In 2018 the only released one mini album, ‘IRON: Iridescent’. This album took a less experimental approach with its Hip-hop, Jazz infused title track ‘Glowing’. The track received more positive reviews and helped the group gain more popularity.

2019[]

‘GOLDEN’ the third mini album was the only release i from the group in 2019. The mini album dabbled back into their experimental sound but mostly played it safe with another Hip-hop title track.

2020[]

2020 was a phenomenal year for the group. They started the year off with their hit single ‘Not A Game’ released on the 21st of March. The funky pop song went viral on social media with a dance challenge created by fans. The video broke their youtube view record with 84 million views from then to 2024. The song gained them their first music show win and charted high on Korean charts.

‘Not A Game’ was followed up two months later with another single, ‘All I Want Is’. It was a fun, easy listening, relaxing pop song. The song was a hit in Korea with it climbing up the charts at light speed.

One month after IRON released their second full album ‘IRON HEART’. The album sold over 300 thousand copies and had great success. It went back to their experience style but mixed with tracks from their new sound. The title track ‘Sticker Tagging’ was an experimental hip-hop track with a dirty booming bass and astounding vocals. The track garnered lots of attention for its unique sound and brought lots of success of the group.

2021[]

After the extensive promotions of 2020. The group took a short hiatus in the first half of 2021. In August they released their 3rd single ‘I Love You’ an EDM, Hip-hop track with a powerful choreography.

2022[]

In 2022 IRON’s company fell apart due to internal issues. In June they announced the group would be moving to Touch Entertainment. The group went on another hiatus throughout the rest of 2022 and 2023.
