IDOL PLANET 96: Road To Be A Star! is the first survival show created by IDOL PLANET Entertainment with Mnet and SRD Entertainment as the co-producers. It is set to be aired in early 2022.

The judges of the program are also the producers in the agency and members of IPCREW.

Concept[]

Prior to the contestants' reveal, 96 trainees (48 male and 48 female) were selected from IDOL PLANET's auditions which held in Asia, North and South America, Europe and Oceania. Then the trainees will be revealed from September 10 to October 31, 2021. After the reveal period, the agency will post the teasers (there will be 6 of them, will be uploaded on November 1, November 15, November 30, December 1, December 15 and December 30). During the training period under IDOL PLANET 96 4 contestants (2 male and 2 female) will be eliminated each episode (except the 1st episode, which will be the introduction and first perfomance episode) until the final 48 remain (24 contestants of each gender). The semifinal episodes will take place in Tokyo, where the participats will be judged by the trainers and special mentors. The groups - ZONE1 (boy group) and COLOR360 (girl group) will be formed by contestants selected by mentors, guests and vievers' voting. The groups are intended to be permament and will be managed by IDOL PLANET Entertainment.

Kim Sung-jin (김성진) is a South Korean trainee under IDOL PLANET Entertainment. He is the first revealed male member of IPTRAINEES and contestant in survival show IDOL PLANET 96: Road To Be A Star!.

Biography[]

Kim Sung-jin was born on April 5, 2004 in Busan, South Korea. He is the only child, because Sung-jin doesn't have sibblings. At age 16, he moved to Seoul and succesfully auditioned to IDOL PLANET Entertainment. On September 10, 2021, Sungjin (along with fellow trainee Kwon Ji-hyung) was revealed as the first member of the label's trainee team - IPTRAINEES and contestant in IDOL PLANET 96: Road To Be A Star!. On September 12, Sungjin was revealed as contestant in Arena of Hope: Royal Feast.

Ito Haruto (이토 하루토; 伊藤 溫斗) is a Japanese trainee under IDOL PLANET Entertainment. He is a member of the male team of IPTRAINEES and the contestant in survival show IDOL PLANET 96: Road To Be A Star!.

Biography[]

Ito Haruto was born on May 16, 2002 in Sapporo, Japan. He is the only child of news reporter and his wife - a teacher. At age 18, he moved to South Korea. Prior to his audition, Haruto posted on his Instagram dance covers. On September 11, 2021, he was revealed as the trainee under IDOL PLANET Entertainment after he passed the auditions. On the same day, Ito was revealed as the contestant in survival show IDOL PLANET 96: Road To Be A Star!.

Choi Ji-sung was born on September 5, 2005 in Seoul, South Korea as the only child of university professor and news reporter. Since his childhood, Jisung was keen on dance and rap. In 2019, he tried to join SM Entertainment, but he didn't pass the auditions. On September 11, 2021, Jisung was revealed as trainee under IDOL PLANET Entertainment and contestant in IDOL PLANET 96: Road To Be A Star! after passing it's casting.

Pamela (파멜라) is a Lao-British rapper and dancer under LUNIVERSE Agency. She is a member of upcoming girl group BlueMoon. She is known for being a former contestant in Get Lucky! and Indochinese Star Hunters.

2018: Indochina Star Hunt[]

On June 3, 2018, Pamela was revealed as one of the first contestants of Indochinese Star Hunters. She was eliminated in the final episode.

2019-present: GENX Trainees, Get Lucky!, BlueMoon[]

On June 24, 2021, she was revealed as one of 6 GENX trainees to be participating in Get Lucky!. She was eliminated on the first episode due to “dull movements” in the performance on Tune In. Fans around the world were crushed by this, and are accusing M-Net for rigging the show. On August 2, 2022, she was revealed as the member of LUNIVERSE Agency's girl group - BlueMoon.
