History[]
Early Life[]
Hunter Yoon was born on January 17, 2007, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, to a couple whose names are undisclosed. He is a fraternal triplet, with two sisters (Emily Yoon and Heather Yoon), he was the first one born amongst the three. His parents own a Korean restaurant in Toronto's Korea Town, named "Yoon's Seoul Foods", known in the city for its authentic feel of traditional Korean eating.
As he grew up, his family enrolled him and his sisters in cooking classes, and extracurricular activities such as piano, violin and karate in order to help them have outlets to their high energy and to help separate the three from not just being known as 'The Yoon Triplets' in their neighborhood. Hunter was enrolled in karate during which he became a blackbelt while also taking violin lessons.
Growing up, Hunter knew of K-pop due to it always appearing in their radio when him and his sisters helped in their family restaurant. At first he wasn't interested in music, but that all changed when his sisters played a prank on him in elementary school and signed him up for their schools musical.
At first, Hunter was going to drop out of it, but their schools choir teacher managed to persuade him to stay for the duration of the musical, stating that he was going to offer a spot to Hunter regardless of his sisters meddling.
Due to this, Hunter stayed in the production, and over time he realized that he liked being on stage. After talking about it with his family, he revealed to them that he wanted to become a singer, at first his parents were unsure of this due to the climate in which being a singer is a hard choice to live by, while his sisters encouraged it, both of them stating that they'll take care of the restaurant.
Emboldened by this, Hunter began auditioning for different companies, he didn't find success right away, he finally got his shot in July of 2021, in which he was accepted to join Aprica Entertainment as a trainee.
Joining Aprica Entertainment[]
Hunter joined Aprica Entertainment on July 17, 2021, at 14 years old.
Due to him having lived and worked at his families shop for years, his Korean was near perfect, save for the occasional part of his Canadian accept slipping in. Regardless his was able to quickly excell in training, being rewarded as 'Most Improved' in 2022.
Joining Apricot Boys[]
Sometime in August of 2023, Hunter joined the pre-debut line up for CELOSIA (then at the time known as Apricot Boys).
